I have to say that I am married to a cop and take it personal when someone makes a negative comment about them, but this makes me sick and I think that cop should be fired immediately... Not only did he say it is just a dog, but a few minutes later he said " I don't care about your damn dog man" I started griping to my husband when I saw this and told him that I thought he should be fired... Now my husband is not a big dog lover but he agreed with me... He also said that it is against policy here in Tn to give a police escort to someone taking their dog to the vet.. He said that if he were the cop and he gave the man an escort here, he would be fired..He did say though that even though he doesn't care for animals much, he would never have let the dog die, that he would have told the guy to just be careful... It just shows that there are good cops and very BAD cops.. Is there anything that can be done, like letters to the cheif to request his termination I wonder.. I know the law here but not Texas...Here he would have been fired immediately...

They need to compensate these people who had their dog die because of this !

Goes to show you cops make bad choices too.. I would not have stopped either, this was an emergency .A precious life hanged in the balance and it makes cops look like heartless morons...

I felt so horrible for that man as he stood there begging for the policeman to let him take his dog to the vet and hearing his girlfriend screaming, knowing her dog was dying. A little dog, a life, was choking to death while he berated this man was sickening.

Sometimes I don't think I can stand to see one more video or hear one more story about cruelty...be it human or animal. What's wrong with people?
