| Scammers are after my Wedding Dress!! I put my brand new wedding dress on Craigslist. I sign onto my email today and have 3 inquiries! I was so excited!!! I read them and they are ALL scammers..."God bless, certified check, ASAP, what are the conditions, please send me your name address phone number, etc, etc." They just don't stop at pups! And I have no time to play with them! Thank goodness I know about them from here on YT or I may have fallen for their BS!

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I think this happens more times than people think, and people are often to embarrass it to report it if they've fallen for it. Yeah, YorkieTalk helps us with all sorts of useful information doesn't it? By the way, did you report this, someone said you can report this because since there is more than a e-mail address to these scammers, these people are relatively easy to catch.

| Its a good thing you know what to look for!!! They are just ruthless!!! My BF's brother just lost about $2000 to a scammer who contacted him on craigslist. This was the first time he'd ever had anything for sale online. I think he learned his lesson the hard way.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I don't think you want to report them to Caig's list at first anyway. They will just remove them and they will change names, and contact other innocent people. If you report them to the right people they actually set up a sting for them. The way it works is they don't really want whatever you are selling, and their operation usually works best if people are selling something at too high a cost, and are so glad that someone is willing to pay them that much that they are willing to accept their terms. They usually send a check to for a thousand dollars more than what you wanted, and you are to send them the remaining thousand. People get confused because the bank honors for several weeks, but by then the people have sent the scammers the extra money. Just because the bank honors it does not mean that they will continue to honor it once they can't get their money. There is some law enforcement agency that actually sets up the sting to get them; maybe you could do a search using some key words.

No this particular scam involves people in this country, they send someone to pick up the item your selling, and they don't want you to wire the money. Besides you shouldn't never try to catch the crooks yourself, but you can report it, I was hoping someone could tell you who to report this to. I wonder if you local police would help.
