| PETA people.. can you help me? Awhile ago I got this great pamphlet-type thing from PETA that was about the size of a business card and it listed all the places that didn't (and maybe did.. I can't remember) test on animals. It was great because I could stick in my wallet and refer to it when I was out shopping. However, I missed it. Does anyone know how I can get another one?? I thought someone here might know what I was talking about. I can't find it on the PETA website.

| I'm guessing it's from here- Caring Consumer // A Guide to Kind Living I know the list is here but I don't know about the cards- I'll go look around. Let me know if you find it first- it sounds awesome.

| BTW, thanks for posting that Kyle. I never noticed you could order a card for reference and it's a pain to have to always consult the list online.

| Isn't it great? I'm pleased that my favorite companies (Burt's Bees, Trader Joes, Method, Mrs. Meyers.. to name a few) don't do animal testing. I also like how up-to-date their lists are. I think I read somewhere that they are updated every few months.

| I know it is so thorough! The only thing I haven't been able to find is my mascara- it's Dior and I hate to give it up- it's not on either list though.

I wonder about generic stuff? I buy Target's version of Listerine because name-brand mouth wash is so expensive so I'm curious about Target's brand of stuff.

| I use Crest Pro Health which DOES test but there is a brand that kills bacteria and is natural and doesn't test that I'm going to get when I run out of my Crest- I can't remember the brand but Target does sell it and I remember it is clear. I try really hard to stay away from Proctor and Gamble but they're freaking everywhere!

Maybe the toothpaste you are talking about is Tom's of Maine? My Mom's dentist suggested it to her and then I started using it. It taste different than "traditional" toothpaste but you adjust to it. Matt hates it.

| I actually do use Tom's toothpaste. Have y'all tried the gel? It's much better than the paste- I can't use the paste. What I was trying to think of is a mouth rinse like Listerine. It's natural (like Tom's) but also kills bacteria like Listerine or Crest Pro Health.

| Okay I just checked my toothpaste- it's Tom's whole care anticavity & tatar control plus whitening gel in spearmint. I've also used it in peppermint though. It doesn't have that funny "natural" taste- although I do use a rinse afterward. edit- LOL, I put 'tatar' control. There's no tatars on my teeth! I'm not changing it- it's too funny! I meant tartar of course.
