Holy cow...I filled up today for $25 and I was about as close to empty as you can get. Gas was 1.76/gal.

ours was at 1.52 as of a couple days ago not sure what it is now but it keeps going down and it can keep doing that too

It's down to $1.89 at gas stations around here now, and a lot cheaper than that at Walmart. (Atlantic Beach, Fl.)

It is 1.88 a gallon here for regular. Thankfully it has dropped in the past month. It was up to 3.00 per gallon last month for regular. Sorry its so high in Alaska.

My second "real job" was at a local gas station where I could work on my hot rod at night. It was standard fare to keep a ladder handy and a pair of binoculars on the desk so we could see when the station down the street changed their price. I didn't even have to call the owner...if the price down the street went down so did ours. Out comes the ladder and the HUGE plastic numbers. It was not unusual to change the price several times a day. This was during the late seventies and the price was almost $1 per gallon. I was pullin down a cool 3 bucks an hour.
