I just wanted to add that I had MANY up and down days with Tia eating. Sometimes she fought the bottle so bad I would just cry. She also would sometimes loose weight as well. It was such a up and down rollar coaster.

I just wanted to let you know that. Tia also had feedings where I could barely get anything in her and had to force it.

I wanted to check Emma's weight again after I read this and - Oh my gosh... now I'm really worried..... I mean, when I first brought her home, she was 21 hours old and had never had a drop to eat / drink... weighed 96 grams.....

Yesterday Emma was up to 99 grams... and this morning... 94!!!! :eek:

She urinates more that she drinks it seems like... and the stools are getting dangerously close to being classified as diarrhea.

Ohhhhhhhhhhh hurry up day.... wish the time would pass quicker till our appointment time with the vet!!

I'm going out of my mind right now..... Emma has been in surgery for over an hour now.... doc thought it best to proceed with the repair of the cleft of the hard palate immediately....

I asked, "okay, that sounds reasonable... how soon would you do something like that? 4 weeks? 6 weeks?".......... doc says... "right now!"....

Oh my gosh... my heart just sank into my belly..... NOW??? Ugh....

So, they swooshed her away.... and with a "we'll call you in a bit", they sent me on my way.....................

She's soooooooo tiny!! I wished I'd had some more time to get her a little bigger... a little stronger..... I'm so worried....

Please say prayers that she'll do okay.... doc warned me that this is going to be extremely stressful for her, of course.... there could be risk of infection... and on and on......

Terrified... absolutely terrified right now............ :(

It's been TWO HOURS!!! What could POSSIBLY be taking so long???:confused:

Oh Dena, how very scary all this is. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you and Lil Emma right now. I wonder if furkids are like skin kids, like when we brought our skin kids home from te hospital and they'd lose a lil weight at first and then gain it back? I've never had a furgirl that had a litter of pups before so I don't really know how things work in that aspect. My heart goes out to you, you're doing such a wonderful job with Emma and I know how worried you are about her. Patiently waiting for an update.

What you have done for that little baby girl makes me feel a little less crazy! Like you, there would have been no way I could have just ignored it. I suppose that\'s why I\'ve ended up with so many rescued animals out here on my little farm. I just can\'t say no or turn away.

I applaud you for your courage and true love for animals - any animal. We certainly need more people like you in this world.

And if I didn\'t have so many little loved rescued creatures in my home, I\'d be more than willing to take that little girl!!!! I know you\'ll find a wonderful home for her. Good luck and I truly believe good things will come back for the sacrifices I know you are making. :rose:
