What is the biggest prize you have ever won?
 

Just wondering how lucky everyone is??????

My husband entered this contest thru a radio station. We received a letter that he was a qualifier and had to go to Huntington, WV to try a key Thursday nite. There were 36 qualifiers and only 34 showed up. They pulled names out of a box at random and you had to pick a sealed envelope, rip it open, and try your key. There were only 8 keys left when my husband's name was called. His key turned out to be the lucky one that turned the lights on the 2008 Harley Davidson Sportster!!!!!!!!! We Won!!!!!!!!! Unbelievable!!!! This bike was custom painted in a two-tone blue and sponsored by Miller Lite! We also got his and her custom Miller Lite leather jackets!!!!!!!!

Still can't believe it. It is like a dream. We never win anything. It was so exciting. Definitely something to remember for a lifetime!

When my husband registered, I was joking with him that if he won that bike I would learn to ride. He made me shake on it. So........

We are keeping the bike and I am going to learn to ride. (My husband already has a bike.) I am so excited!!!!!!!!

So, has anyone elso ever won anything that they want to tell their story about???????? Any other lucky people out there???????

That's awesome! The biggest thing I have won was $1000 at Bingo. I have won it a few times over the years. I go to Bingo with my dad almost every week.

I personally have NEVER, EVER, won anything in my life, not even on the small children birthday parties, or where they had raffles. On the other hand I've been blessed with great family and friends, if only I could win the lottery, I would have the best of both worlds, now wouldn't I???:p

I guess technically since it was my husband who won, the biggest prize that I ever won was a GPS system and I also won $250 at bingo one time. I think the Harley is the biggest anyone in my family has ever won.

It would be nice if everyone could win the lottery!!!!

I too consider myself very lucky to have a wonderful husband and two great kids! They are the best things to happen in my life and I don't think the lottery could even top my family!

Several years ago, I bought a raffle ticket from a young girl @work that was there part-time. It was for her church......I never expected to win.....just really doing this for her & that it was for a good cause. Had completely forgotten about it & well, I was so surprised to find out, YES, I won. I now have a Beautiful Handmade Mahogany Pencil Post Queen Bed! :D

I think the biggest thing I've ever won was a trifecta at the horse races (the smallest payout of the night) - the best part was I got to rub my husbands (RIP) face in the fact that he was the serious better....while me - the bimbo blond - picked the cute names and WON :p:p:p:p

Chanel won a nice prize for the Worlds Coolest Dog Dogster Contest - I got wine and some computer stuff for my photo - then....the other day winning something in the UYR Raffle - whoo hoo - Thanks Tiggerwit & YT!

But nothing beats a HARLEY ~! That's sooooooooooo cool

I've never won anything haha, it's sad... as I'm talking about not even in K-12 in school or after. Oh well.

I've won at bingo and on the slots, but I won a radio contest and won a $2500 gift certificate for a Jewlery store so I think that was the neatest thing that I won but that was over 10 years ago. I did win in the YT Raffle which shocked me to death.

All the bingos in my area play games for $100 and one for $1000. then they play a winner take all that pays between $350-$800 depending on how crowded it is. You can play bingo at a least one place every night here. Some nights you have more then one to chose from.

I know the indian reservations pay big money. But there is none around here. And there are always a lot of people there. They even give cars, etc away.

how do you get into a YT raffle??? Sorry still fairly new! ;)

When I was a senior in college - I was one of hundreds of lucky callers to get thru on the phone lines and then invited to hear about cruises. Hundreds of people packed into a hotel ballroom where they were going to give away a crusie for 2. I was sitting way at the back with a girlfriend then they called one name. I heard this crazy girl scream - and then realized that was me screaming :rolleyes:

I won a 7 day Caribbean cruise

Then about 6 mths later the same radio station was having a special promotion about some movie coming out. I went with 3 other people - there were so few people there, almost everybody won something - but I won the grand prize - more than $3,000 in home entertainment equipment - including a tv, vcr, video camera

I've been lucky on sports boards over the years, and lottery tickets. I've also won quite a few things from raffles, and I did win a beautiful surf board (value $750)a few years ago. I put $5.00 in a slot machine in Vegas and won $700, but a vehicle? sorry to say no:(. Congrats on the cycle. That's awesome!

I found the prize egg ($50) in an Easter egg hunt when I was 10...but that is the closest I've ever came to winning anything :D How sad!!

From the posts, seems like these radio stations really give out the most prizes.

mmm, I usually don't win anything... but once I won a 7-day stay at a hotel, so that that pretty cool. It kinda looks like my winning luck began & expired that day :rolleyes:

I've haven't won much in my time, I've had a handful of small change scratch offs, $80 at the local casino and when I was a kid I won a kite from a cereal box and they never actually sent it to me. LOL

I've never really "won"...including in last year's raffle (forgot to get in this year :eek:)...This past June when we were in Kansas City for the meet-up, I went to the casino, my first ever time playing poker for $$ or in front of other people (I play it with bf and online...that's it!), I ended up splitting w/ 4 others and we each made almost $400... But that's not "luck" to me...poker's a game of skill...lol....If it was about luck, I surely would have lost! :p LOL

Ok this is what I've won....so far I've been pretty lucky. I only played because of hubby and now he's been deployed so I'm not into it as he is.

1. Won 10,000 out of a $20 scratchy...years ago
2. Hubby and I won 3,000 each out of a Trifecta (I played the same numbers he did:D what a cheater)....he loves horse races
3. I won lots of times at the casinos. Now I stay away from them though.. It was starting to get addicting....plus I'm only about 40 mins from Atlantic City.
I do remember one day hubby and I were going to the beach bars in AC and as we were waiting for friends of ours I told hubby to hold on because we were walking through the casinos...I stuck a $10 bill in the machine but since we were waiting I said I was only going to do the min bid....first spin I won 500.00...I was so mad because I didn't enter the max bid but I got over it. Grabbed my money and went to party:D
