Our Blessings R Many Donating Member | Disaster or Earthquake Preparedness???? This quake has gotten me to realize that I hadn't rechecked our Emergency or EQ supplies in years also I had not given it thought to have the supplies needed in case of severe weather conditions like winter, snow, rainy season. I'm in the midst of restocking, also now including preparedness for weather conditions. This quake has been a reminder to us to re-think on our being prepared, for ourselves and our furbabies in the event of any Emergency or Disaster. In the past I had purchased the large galvanized trash cans to put supplies in, there more durable than the plastic. Our friends phoned this morning and in our discussion shared with each other things we hadn't thought about in emergency preparedness. Anyone else want to add additional suggestions, please do. Thank you. Patti and Jack and Girls. Last edited by Baby Blessing; 08-01-2008 at 10:40 AM. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I wish I had ideas for you - we have hurricanes here but I don't have enough room to keep stock of anything really.... For earthquakes - I can't help you there either - but - I'd be keeping my fingers crossed and hope that I wasn't naked or anything if one hits... so maybe stay fully clothed at all times ? .... Seriously - earthquakes are VERY scary...I think I'd rather go thru a hurricane than an earthquake. I'm absolutely no help am I ? |
