| Dropped a "mag light" on my foot Omgracious I dropped one of those "mag light" flashlights right on the top of my foot. Not one of the little ones either. One of the bigger, HEAVIER ones. Ya'll I did not know what pain was until that very moment - and I gave birth to two children with no drugs. This was far worse. All I could do was sit on the floor and sob. I couldn't even speak to tell DH what happened for a good 10 minutes. Thankfully (and surprisingly) nothing is broken. I just have a nice bruise with an equally nice knot to match, and a LOT of pain. It hurts so bad it burns. I do not wish this on anyone - not even DUG. It is just horrible, horrible pain. Tomorrow is going to be rough because they gave me something for pain that is making me sleepy, its already after midnight here, and I have to get up at 5:30am because the kiddos will be here at 6:00am.

I Love My Babies Donating Member | Oh no. I am so sorry you are hurting. It may not be broken... but it still hurts when you hit your foot like that. And you are going to be working with it? You are a very brave woman. Can you keep it elevated to help with the swelling, in the morning? And keep anyone from bumping it? You poor thing. I hope it goes well for you.

| Surprisingly it is feeling somewhat better this morning. Still bruised, but the swelling has gone down a LOT. It still hurts to move it or touch it though, but I guess that is to be expected. At least it doesn't hurt as bad as it did last night.

| Be careful about thinking that it is not broken...you can walk around with a broken bone in your foot for months and not know it cause it feels like it healed...then you walk into something and find out you have a fracture....been there , done that. I had dropped a wine bottle on the top of my foot...it was sore for a couple of weeks and no one thought it was fractured (no DR.)...then months later I walked into the baby gate(in the dark) and it got sore again...then one morning a couple of weeks later my toe got caught in my sock when I was putting it on and I actually heard the snap...a very tiny bone was fractured. I won't go into the experience with the doctor I went to and had to go to another....but in the meantime once I found out it was fractured I put an ace bandage on it and the second Dr. said I did an excellent job and that all was in place and healing. So be careful with those tiny bones.... BTW...hope it does not happen to you. Tina

| It wouldn't be so bad if a certain little yorkie girl would leave it alone. She keeps touching it with her paw and licking it. I know she is trying to be sweet but it HURTS.

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | Aww Aerrica that was painful just reading that! I'm so sorry! I'm glad it feels a bit better today. Did the dr. take x-rays? Just asking, cause if there is even a small fracture you don't want it to cause you problems in the future by going untreated! I'm sending you big hugs and good thoughts! I hope it's totally healed soon!

| Yep they did. He said no fractures that they could see. (so does that mean there are fractures they can't see? lol) I don't know how it isn't broken because OMG it hurt. The edge part that goes around the lense is what hit me. It hit on my left foot about an inch or so above my ring toe, other toe, and pinky toe.
