| Man, I must be the only girl on THIS PLANET that doesn't give a crap what kind of shoes I have. I buy the most comfortable pair of tennis shoes I can find at the bargain shoe places. I don't care what they look like, just as long as they don't hurt. I don't think I've ever spent more than $25 on a pair of shoes. I'm so fashion-illiterate  |

| My mom owns a shoe store in town but they are ladies shoes so I really don't know if i'll be much help... She sells sneakers (Saucony Sp?) They are kind of cool (look like Puma) I'll take some pictures when i get a few chance!!

| Von Dutch is very unpopular here now. It was *so* in last year. No one even sells it anymore - its kind of a shame because some of their shoes are pretty cute.

Also, I got a pair of Dr. Marten sandals today and they are SO comfortable!!! I've found this thread interesting. What is cool in one part of our country isn't in another. VERY INTERESTING!!!

When Nike shoes first came out they were like ONE hundred fifty dollars - at least the ones my son wanted were... I was single and poor - couldn't affford $150.00 shoes - so his first pair of Nike's were a actually a plain pair of shoes...But....with my talent for copying art - I DREW the freakin NIKE LOGO on his shoes with waterproof marker and no one EVER knew it - To this day he laughs at me doing that ...I laugh cause he let me ...not one of his little friends ever questioned his new Nike sneaks |
