This is very true. Many DIE HARD YT'ers drove for HOURS & even DAYS, flew across the country, rented RV's, carpooled, and were VERY determined to make it to the meetup. Many would probably do the same (if health and finances allow). I cannot say I am 100 percent sure I could go...... but more than likely we will. ...... We made the effort and spent the $$$ to go to KC and it was worth it. Unfortunately there were some who weren't able to make it ..... it wouldn't be right to have a lot to say about the meetup plans and then not sign up at all. .... My husband said that California may be too far for us to go .... I guess we will wait and see... ;) |
i also think you should pay to vote then you know who is for real about going |

I soooo wish I could have gone to this one. I really wanted to. And had originally said I would go. But finances just didn't allow. Unfortunately I've got a lot going on in that area right now, so it just wasn't possible this year. I'm hoping to be able to go next year. But I think the only way it will be possible for me is if it is in driving distance. |

How about the Atlanta area? They're very dog friendly and I know some of the parks have a small dog area. Somewhere outside of Atlanta (i.e. Marietta, Kennesaw, etc.) might not be too expensive. |

Well i would have to say my vote goes for San Diego...Not because i live in Cali. but because i know that SD has beautiful weather and that they are and were voted as one of the most dog friendly places...Plus theres tones to see, do and shop...And no i dont think it is that exp. out here... |
Nashville has all the pluses we are looking for 1. it has a Drury Inn 2. Major Airport (which is less than 2 mile for the Drury Inn) 3. very Pet -friendly (from what i have been told) 4. Lots of places that would be big enough for every to meet up and have room for the furbabies Prices in Nashville are pretty competitive with other places being mentioned |

I vote for Alexandria, VA. Lots of dog-friendly shops, parks, even Mt. Vernon is pet friendly. I believe we could arrange a river cruise that allowed pets (I've heard that some allow small dogs) and possibly a walking tour of DC. Alexandria, VA |

is tigers mom in charge they made the thread up |
Ok Here is what I would like to State .. My opinion...... I think it should be up to the members that attended the last meet up to choose the next location.. I think it is really only fare to the ones who did go to the first one :D |
or who wants to be in charge mabe we can start with that who is willing to do all the hard work |
OK, I'll give my opinion too. I like the idea of Tn. or San Antonio but I also like the idea of a lodge/campground. Speaking from my experience in KC, I really missed out on getting to know some of the people who attended because the time went by so fast. If we were in a more relaxed atmosphere, like Cindy said, we could get to know each other better. There are some beautiful lodges/camping areas in Branson, Missouri. From my experience, it is dog friendly and there is lots to do. We have stayed at Big Cedar Lodge before and it is beautiful with cabins and lodges. |
