As of today, per your post I did not have a clue who was on the committee, the only one I knew that was working on it was Lisa, but my question, why the same committee and is it a closed committee and who chose the committee. I am asking because after reading this thread there are a lot of people that would like to help and be part of this, so adding new people to the committee is in order since we have so many new people, and before the claws come out I am not asking to be on the committee, but I will help when asked, which hasn't happen. |

This time it looks like NY, NJ, and PA aren't in the running either so i'll be missing out on this next one too. maybe someday we'll have one over here. |

This may not matter, but I think Cindy (who has been an outstanding and valueable YT member) SHOULD definitely be a part of this planning. I am not just singling her out from everyone else...but I think we all realize how much Cindy thinks of us all, all of our babies (and her own), always is the voice of reason, etc, etc. Being one of the "planners" is a big task/chore...and I think if there were a few fresh faces to help, I do not see the problem...I would honestly think of it as more of a help and blessing then a downside/burden. I agree with your JMHO :D |
I want to thank everyone who took the time to give their input on where the next venue will be held . . . it appears we have sooo many choices which is a good thing. I am not on the committee but I remember it was agreed that we will take turns on where the location will be held (central, east, west) . . .Central won the first meet-up location and although there are so many other wonderful places in the midwest, it is time we concentrate on either the east or west coast to give others a chance to be able to attend . . . So please head over to the polls and cast your vote . . . and hope your choice will be the next yorkie meet-up . http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/pol...tion-poll.html |

Well if i was near Mandee's it was nice . but in the west and middle of the city was really dirty to me. Also had alot of bars on the windows. I though they must have alot of crime? |
yes, I have been to Mandees - she's out in the suburbs and I have been all over and wow I've missed any bars on the windows. My dd lives not far from downtown and it is gorgeous on every side around her, very upscale in a couple directions. Keith & Nicole frequent a couple spots nearby. All these country stars would not live there and it would not be one of the fastest growing cities in the country if it was dirty. Everywhere I have been it is clean and green I've been downtown - even to the Y downtown - which in some cities can be on the seedy side and no signs of that. I've driven all over because I have even boarded Bubba & Roxy there and I've been thru some older parts of town that need some updating, but I would not even describe as dirty. Also, I don't think so many would suggest Nashville if it was dirty. I hope you have a chance to go back some time and see the beauty. |

ok, Lori, I talked to my dd and she said you must have been in north Nashville - guess that's on the scary side, and I had forgotten we had stayed somewhere a bit scary one time when we went down. I was looking for a cheap hotel and we ended up getting there at 2 am and I thought the yorkies and I were going to get abducted when I went out to walk them near the hotel  -- but heck every city has a scary place. We just have to be wise. |
