| Some humour for the Canadians on here! Or anyone who lives near the boarder You might live in Canada if: -Your local Dairy Queen is closed from September through May.. (we have a DQ in the Soo that is closed in the winter!) -Someone in the hardware stores offers you assistance, and they don't work there -If you've worn shorts and a parka at the same time -If you have had a lengthy telephone conversation with someone who dialed the wrong number (VERY true of small towns!) -If you measure distance in hours -If you know several people who have hit a deer more than once. -If you have switched from "heat" to "A/C" in the same day and back again (just did this last week!) -If you can drive 90kms/hr through two feet of snow during a raging blizzard without flinching -You install secruit lights on your house and garage, but leave both unlocked -You carry jumper cables in your car and your wife knows how to use them -you design your kid's Halloween costume to fit over a snowsuit (*sigh* I could never be what i wanted to be because it was too cold) -Driving is better in the winter beacuse the potholes are filled with snow - If you know all 4 seasons : almost winter, winter, still winter and raod construction -You have more miles on your snow blower than your car |

| Ya'll's DQ really closes for the winter?! Down here we have our own version of the "winter" joke. Instead of winter we have almost summer, summer, still summer, and Christmas. LOL But we DO have the same wrong number deal! The joys of a small town LOL

| We just have one that closes, and it's one that you just walk up to and order ice cream stuff through a window. The ones that you actually go into and can order food and stuff stay open year round

There is this funny commercial on the radio from Columbo yogurt (which is in Massachusetts) about wearing shorts and a parkah (parker) on the same day. Its called a shakrah!
