| Any Hedgehog owners here? I can't remember who it was that posted a while back about wanting a Hedgehog. However, I did decide to have a look. Oh my gosh....that one really got me into it! I have purchased a Hedgehog baby for my daughter and granddaughter who share their birthdate. Yep, my daughter's daughter was born on her birthday. Nice birthday present, huh? Anyway...I just got it for them and it will be shipped to New Jersey on the 28th. I am hoping I did the right thing. I wanted to get them something that they would both enjoy a lot and my daughter is an animal lover. I did have her look at them before I purchased. I waited a bit and asked if she was sure about it. Yes, she said. So now that little bugger is going to their house. Anyone that has owned a Hedgehog and has time to respond....please tell me about your experience with it/them. Any special 'sage' advise for a new owner? Thanks bunches! |

| I don't have a hedgehog, but I want one. They come in so many beautiful colors and they are so cute!! I think they are a little on the expensive side - as much as $400 - but my daughter would LOVE to have one!! Good luck with your little grand-hedgehog. What color did you get?

The only bad thing....well, not bad in realtion to the animal....is that the shipping costs more than the Hedgehog. If you are interested in the place I got ours, let me know. The breeder is very nice and informative. One of my main concerns is that my daughter has two cats and one dog (and turtles, hermit crabs, etc.). I was afraid there might be a problem with the cats, but she said she has cats and dogs too, and the little things curl up in a ball and give the cats a good pop on the nose and they get left alone after that. | |

| I fell in love with Hedgehogs when I saw one in the wild in Switzerland. I decided right then and there that I wanted one.... got home and did some checking and much to my dissappointment they are illegal to own in Georgia. The Department of Whatever who makes those laws are concerned that escaped pet hedgehogs will multiply and disrupt the natural wildlife. |

| They are cute and a little freaky to me. I think I would be scared of them...they remind me a little bit of a possum! so you keep them in a cage like a hampster, right?
