The first site I looked at that had them for sale at the prices that you mentioned. However, I found a site that had one for 125 dollars. I tried to reserve that one but was too late. I ended up getting one for 150. It is a chocolate but the mother is 'chocolate chip' (?) and she said she thinks it will be more 'chocolate chip' as it grows. They are really just too darn cute!
The only bad thing....well, not bad in realtion to the animal....is that the shipping costs more than the Hedgehog.

One of my main concerns is that my daughter has two cats and one dog (and turtles, hermit crabs, etc.). I was afraid there might be a problem with the cats, but she said she has cats and dogs too, and the little things curl up in a ball and give the cats a good pop on the nose and they get left alone after that.
