Take her with you and put her in the x-pen, put the do not disturb sign
on the hotel door, go to the furneral then go back and check on her then
on to the dinner afterwards. It will mean so much to your dad and family
and also your deceased grandfather.
I am so sorry for your loss. I feel very strong that you'll have regrets
after and you don't want that. Have a safe trip.

I am so sorry for your loss, but I definitely agree with this.. it is your decision but IMO I think you should definitely go. I know it is hard to leave your dog but believe me, she won't be "traumatized for life" or anything if you are not with her for a few hours.. it was the hardest thing for me to even go on vacation because I have never been away from Princess for more than 2 days and I had to go for 2 weeks.. but she is fine and when I came back she was extra excited and then it was as if we had never been apart.. so don't worry about her too much and I think you should go
