| My daughter has it, and I have not tried it but have watched her. I think it seems like a fun way to exercise. It's much sturdier than I thought it would be. It figures out your body mass index and weight. You give them your height, and it figures it all out. I have heard some parents say that they were upset about it saying their kids are "fat" or "obese". So far, that's the only complaints I've heard.

| Do you have a "Game Stop" store near you? I think they had an agreement with Nintendo to have more shipped in by today.

So (after 3 mins, since the hubby doesn't want to say anything either) I said excuse me, do you have any more wii fits available? He said no, its only available to people who preorder them and we wont have anymore shipments until 2 weeks from now. OK, fine, but at least tell us that--or at least say "how can I help you"-- instead of making us stand in line for like 3 minutes while you fiddle with your chair and stare at god knows what at the ceiling! Sheesh, I was so annoyed I didn't even end up buying the cute puppy game they had for Wii. Sheesh. Last edited by wookie; 05-22-2008 at 09:53 AM. | |

The guys at the store near us told my daughter's boyfriend that they had some sort of agreement with Nintendo to have more Wii Fit systems sent by today to take care of people who had not pre-ordered. Try calling them and see what they say. If you don't get any reasonably intelligent answers, ask to speak to a manager.

| Just saw this thread! I called one wal-mart that said they had them & drove 45 minutes get there wait for 30 minutes for the manager to come w/the key for the "security" room only to find out there was none so I had them call the other wal-mart 15 min the other way & they had them, they had them on shelves in electronics, it's crazy how each store is different... do any of you know if you can use your regular yoga mat for the yoga??

Unfortunately, its the truth though. As parents we want to protect our kids' feelings, but at the same time, childhood obesity is overwhelmingly common now, and kids need to be more aware of how to keep their bodies healthy. I dont think they should obsess over it, but they should be aware. I want my kids to be happy with who they are, but if their bodies are unhealthy, they need to be proactive about it. I am getting one, when I can find one, lol.

| Yep, it weighs you and you have to enter your height and it figures out your body mass index.

| Got mine yesterday but have too freaking busy to set it up!! I was shocked tho that it arrived so quickly considering the release date. My extra battery pack and sleeve for it are coming later tho. Supposed to be raising their production to meet demands, so hopefully soon..... Here is a spoof commercial that my daughter sent me that is hilarious. It'll make those of you that don't have yours yet feel better. Gametrailers.com - Wiifit parody by insulted

| Yes, we got ours! It is brutally honest, uggggh! I did the test and it gave me my "fit age" which was 7 years older than my real age. Okay, I have not been exercising. You can put a password on your profile so everyone can not see it. I do like it though. Today is my third day and I am going to play as soon as I get off of YT.
