I was in another big scene, but it ended up getting cut. It showed how the girls got the rest of the $$$ for the treehouse, which was by having a backyard carnival. During the carnival the Wormer brothers turn the sprinklers on everyone. Because of that they could only shoot it a few times, and I guess none of the shots turned out that well. During the scene I have to grab Demi Moore's daughter hand (who played Samantha Albertsons little sister in the film), and run with her on the porch. I was disappointed that the scene got cut! Overall it was a great experience, I was only in 5th grade at the time, so I wasn't really star struck. I couldn't figure out at the time why all the girls in my class thought it was just soooo cool Devon Sawa ask me to eat lunch at his table one day. |
Lots of Nascar drivers: Matt Kenseth, Dale Jr. , Rusty Wallace, Darrell Waltrip, Kasey Kahne, Bobby & Terry Labonte, Tony Stewart, Reed Sorenson, Kyle Petty, Jamie McMurray, Mark Martin, Robby Gordon, Steve Park, Kenny Wallace, Kurt Busch, Bill Elliott, Ricky Rudd, Greg Biffle, Kevin Harvick, & car owner and Redskins coach Joe Gibbs. Ali & Lonnie were having a family supper with all of the kids at the next table at a restaurant in St Joe, MI. Ali was so gracious, he sat at the end of the long table & doodled on the cloth napkins the whole time and was drawing boxing ring scenes. He was giving them to the kitchen staff that came out to greet him. People were walking up to the table the whole time and shaking his hand & he would give them his card. Whenever a woman would approach the table he would stand. One elderly lady with a walker came up to him to introduce her grandson to him & she put her hand on Ali's face and said "you're still pretty" he kissed her cheek. His wife and kids just had a normal family dinner while he greeted the folks that came up to him. It was wonderful to see. Tim Allen comes to town once in awhile, he has family here. |
Oh Oh another one I forgot. Rusty Wallace almost ran over me in a golf cart at the Michigan Speedway. One of my girlfirends in Michigan is a big time Nascar fan. 6 of us rented a motorhome and went to the race and stayed on the infield for 3 days! What fun. Anyway we were walking around the infield the night before the race and were standing on the dirt road talking. I heard a beep beep and turned around and there was Rusty Wallace in his golf cart RIGHT up to my behind! He laughed and said hi. and I blushed and was tongue tied. lol |

My children went to school with Nolan Ryan's kids (Houston Astros and a couple other teams baseball picture. His oldest son is my oldest daughter's age and his youngest son is my son's age. So, I have lots of pictures of his kids with my kids, at my house, at his house, etc. There was a BD skating party where I was dropping my son off, while his wife, Nancy, was dropping their son, Reece off. She and I ended up going grocery shopping together instead of hanging out at the rink. They are downhome good ole people. |

I met Liberace once at the hospital I worked at in Reno on the elevator, LOL! I was going back to the CCU and had to get on the elevator and up at the elevators, all I could see was this floor length white mink coat! I HAD to check it out close up, so I practically RAN to the elevator before it could open up and when the mink coat and I got on (along with a body guard, not being mine), I realized I was in the elevator ALONE (almost) with Liberace! I didn't really have that much connection with him, but I knew my mom LOVED him and I knew he was very legendary.....I was like, totally speechless for probably the first time in my life (other than when I met Elvis).....but he was so nice. The drummer in his band had gotten into some fight the night before and I think had a broken nose or something and was in the hospital and he was visiting him. Usually, a lot of the stars are just normal everyday people doing their job, so I'm kinda disappointed when I find that out; you kind of expect them to be 'bigger than life". Liberace was. Elvis was also...another story:). |
