| I cannot take it any longer ... MY neighbor has several dogs.. he used to keep this chow outside but now he has this poodle!!! OUTSIDE!!! the poor dog is panting and literally dying of heat exhaustion... we live in SOUTH TEXAS its always around the 100's this time of year... how in the world can I help this poor animal its breaking my heart.. I went out there a few mins ago since they werent there and gave it some fresh cold water and some of gizmo's food.. the poor dog... they feed it off the floor!!! I am wondering if maybe someone can help me find a local poodle rescue group so I can contact them... I am at a loss.... really ticked off.... I just want to ring this guys neck! Some people should not be allowed to have animals let alone children! What do I do.. the authorities here are worthless.!!! |

| have you tried to contact the spca or animal control? they by law have to go out and check on the animals. If that don't work then try. this site Texas Pet Shelters and Animal Rescue |

| Don't Forget - Animal Control isn't just for picking up raccoons hit by cars I was too upset to look up the number for Animal Control on my neighbors once, so I just called 911 and apologized for bothering them. They were very happy to transfer me, and Animal Control was there in about 15 minutes.

| I hope there is a positive outcome to this. I know what you mean about authorities being no help - my parents call animal control at least 2x a month on their neighbors who constantly buy new dogs because they kill off the old ones and "accidentally" always having a new litter, with all these dogs and puppies being kept in awful conditions (hence all the deaths). The county system there is just plain AWFUL and they do nothing to stop it. Anyway, enough with the negativity!! Best wishes to your neighboring pooch!

I am going to go to call animal control again and see what they can do.. but since the dog has a somewhat of a dog house and a water bowl near by then in their eyes they cannot do anything... but I will keep nagging til something gets done.... argh! |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | ok....TAKE Pictures if you can ...and then report them to the ASPCA - If you have pictures of NO FOOD SHELTER AND WATER they'll (especially water) - they'll come right out ... the people may get only a citation but at least they'll know someone is watching and maybe take better care of those poor dogs you can email the photos - that really worked for me when I had to report a neighbor ...I can direct you to that thread if you want but it's graphic

| I can't stand people like that. We live in an apartment and the people above us (weirdos) have some sort of a mix shepherd and it stays on their tiny porch all day long. Our apartment porch is tiny anyways but they have a grill, 2 bikes, and a plant up there. All there is left is room for him to lay down. She told me he cant go inside anymore because when he does he tears things up. Well duh! He never gets to run off his energy. Poor guy! They should of known that before they got him.
