| ![]() I have my real ring, and I only don't even wear it that much. I always wear my gold wedding band with a ring my husband's grandmother left me. It is simple, gold and has tiny little diamonds. I absolutely love it because she chose me to give it to. ![]()

| ![]() I love sapphires so my engagement ring will be a periwinkle, pink, or reg blue sapphires. And not as expensive as a all diamond ring ![]() |

| ![]() Hubby got me a very, very nice engagement ring when he proposed, I'm lucky. I told him that I didn't care if he gave me a cubic zirconia from Walmart, because honestly I don't like wearing rings!!!! He bought it anyways. I don't wear it often and he realized that, but he also realized that the ring is not what counts what counts is the relationship and the love that the two of you have for each other. Did I sound too corny? Probably, I don't like to say things like this, but I wanted you to see my point. ![]()

| ![]() I have a 2 carat CZ ring that I wear sometimes and everyone thinks it's a real diamond ![]() ![]() Can't remember where I got it years ago, but it's the best $50 I ever spent. There is NOTHING wrong with using CZ's as a "placeholder" for your someday diamond. Good luck in your search ![]()

| ![]() Here is another thought. Our friends did this and it was beautiful. They got a right hand band type ring as an engagement ring/wedding band. Its a gorgeous ring and it was under $1000. Or you could get a BAND with diamonds in it as your 'engagement' ring. They are under $1000 usually. Then when you get married you get another cheaper plain band. Someday when you are ready to buy 'The diamond' you can take off the plain band and wear your diamond with your diamond band, or you can wear your plan band with your diamond and wear the diamond band on your other hand.

| ![]() I lost my wedding ring a few months ago and definitely contemplated getting a CZ ring to wear because my hand felt naked.. I was so distraught that I'd lost my ring, and I felt weird not wearing anything. Luckily, I found my ring laying on the floorboard of my car. It had fallen off as I'd taken my coat off and tossed it in the backseat. I felt so much joy... Holy cow, I'd thought my ring was gone forever... I agree with what the others have said (I know this thread is old), go for the CZ ring. It's better to save for 'the ring' rather than settling. It's something you have to wear forever (hopefully!), so it's worth it to wait ![]()

| ![]() My mother wore a CZ ring the last couple of years of her life because her fingers had gotten so thin and she feared losing her wedding ring, even with a sizer. Everyone thought the ring was real. When she passed, she was buried with the fake ring. Everyone at the funeral and even the staff at the funeral home pestered us about burying her with the ring. They all thought it was real! We had a sneaking suspicion that the funeral home probably took it off her to sell (because they were obsessed with it) and that they got a big surprise when they learned it was fake.

| ![]() Hopefully they're past this and happily married. However, in my opinion, you don't need a ring to show you're engaged or married. My husband hasn't worn a ring in 14 years, simply because of his job. I know he's married, he knows he's married. Who cares if anyone else knows?
