| I'm working two jobs to keep my head above water. That income put me out of the running for any stimulus payment. Feel fortunate that you get what you get.

| I'm sorry you aren't getting what you expected. I got the full $600, but honestly I would have been happy with anything since it's like free money that I didn't earn.

| I think if you have direct deposit for one, you have it for the other.

| I did not get the full amount I was expecting either. I was the first in my goup to get the deposit so all my friends are now warned them might not get the full amount.Everyone overlooked the "upto" in the wording. It does seem odd to me the people who make less and need the money more are only getting part and the one who dont need it are getting the full amount. Governmaent, go figure. |

Also, about the age cut-off - it was the same thing a few years back when they started giving an extra $300 per child deduction. Your dependent child had to be born after a certain date to qualify. Which wasn't/isn't fair - most kids are still at home and dependent until at least 18! Shoot - both of mine are still at home and are 20 and 22 I copied the information below and included the link to the IRS site - hope it helps answer some questions. Q. Is my stimulus payment taxable? A. No. You will not owe tax on your payment when you file your 2008 federal income tax return. But you should keep a copy of the IRS letter you receive later this year listing the amount of your payment. Q. If my stimulus payment is not going to affect my 2008 tax refund or increase the tax I owe next year, why is it I need to retain the letter that lists how much I received? A. In the event you do not qualify for the full amount on your 2007 return but you do on your 2008 return, you will need to have the letter as a record of the amount you previously received. [New 4/11/08] Q. Will the payment I receive in 2008 reduce my 2008 refund or increase the amount I owe for 2008? A. No, the stimulus payment will not reduce your refund or increase the amount you owe when you file your 2008 return. Economic Stimulus Payment FAQs: Basic Eligibility

| We havn't gotten ours at all yet. It should've been Direct deposited on Friday at the latest as stated on the website, but it's not there. I looked through all the FAQ and nothing pertains to us...no clue where ours is. Knowing our luck we won't get it for some reason.

| 1099'd? I worked as an independent contractor last year and paid all of my taxes at the end of the year. I don't have any children. Does anyone know if I'll be getting the stimulus check? I sure could use it right now!! Thanks.

No Longer a Member | I made 14,000 last year. I claim my two grown disabled kids on my taxes. With them being disabled I recieve the earned income for them each year. My Stimulus check was $300. Even tho I take complete care of them they did not count because of their age. |

No it is not an advance on any refund. In order to receive $300 per child....that child must be under 17...which is the cut off age for the child care credit. If you are unable to use that credit...that child does not qualify. Here's a link from irs.gov...FAQ - Economic Stimulus Payments: Most Frequently Asked Questions
