I wonder why some people are so daft? Would you ever say that to someone?

Next time someone hurts your feelings like that,you should call them on it. Then they'll know how it feels to look stupid. I hope you're feeling better soon. Take the diet one day at a time,it's hard. Hang in!!!

Omg ... I know people like that! It's like ewww who would say some dumb sh### like that anyways. I'll tell you who ... people who just don't have the proper up bringings.

By the ways 10lbs is ALOT!!! Congrats!

Gosh, you guys are so supportive. Thanks.
The guy isn't from this country originally but has been here for 17 years working in hospitals the whole time. He is a citizen. That is why I don't know if it is a cultural thing or not. I don't think he feels like women are his equals though. He comments about my age from time to time and pretends he is joking. (I have gray hair but I'm not an OLD woman.) I've usually let what he said slide off my back but that last crack was just plain hurtful.

He also complains about the United States and all of our political figures, the police, the educational system, and capitalism so I am used to his rants. When he first started working here I was afraid he was a terrorist because he complained so much! But I guess he is just weird. I wish he would retire!

How rude!!! what is it with some people? obviously brought up without being taught manners...sometimes people will say to me..'you look tired'...i'm like..'Thanks! that's just a 'polite' way of saying that i look like s**t'!

I never comment on anyone's appearance in a negative way..i always compliment people and try my best to make them feel good about themselves..that's because i have tact and good manners...next time he makes a comment like that i would tell him he needs to mind his manners..perhaps he makes comments like this because he is not very confident in is own appearance

People like that piss me off so bad. Like if you don't like it here take your a$$ back where you came from. I get so mad when I hear stuff like that. I have no tolerence for people like that.

Oh Im sorry!

Sometimes people get their 'american' phrases mixed up. I remember 2 instances in my life... My ex was puerto rican and his fathers family still lived there. Well his aunts came up to visit and when they were trying to speak English they told him he had gotten FAT. But they meant he had gotten big (grown up from a boy into a man) LOL And I had a guy friend from Russia, actually he was my brothers roommate and he was trying to say that I was curvy but instead he said I was ROUND! ooohhh I was sooo mad! He stuttered for awhile trying to explain what he meant! haha

Grain of salt girl... as long as you are happy with yourself!

Wow...sorry that he hurt your feelings. And loosing 10lbs is a HUGE accomplishment. I can't even loose 2! I would let this guy know that his comments hurt your feelings. This way if he is not intending to do that he will stop. If you tell him and he doesn't stop then you know for sure is is a JERK! Sometimes people say things and are not meaning to hurt anyone. However sometimes they are!
