| ![]() Okay well we just frontlined Lexie, Tucker, and Jordan and to keep them from rubbing it off hubby and I were crating them. After I shut the door to Lexie's crate I looked down and saw a shoelace. I was thinking, "what in the world did the yorkies get ahold of now?" As I was reaching for it the shoelace moved! I backed up faster than the speed of light yelling, "SNAKE in the bedroom! SNAKE in the bedroom!" Hubby made fun of me and then went in to prove to me that it wasn't a snake when he comes running out of the room saying HOLY CRAP! We ran and got our landlord and he got the snake in a plastic bag. We think it was only a garter snake and it was very small, but there was a freakin' snake in our bedroom. I would love to say I ran bravely back in and saved Lexie from the snake, but I was a chicken and stayed in the hallway. When the landlord got it it was damn near in her crate with her! I would have felt terrible if she'd gotten bit by a snake because I was a chicken. We live in the heart of our town in a two story house. We have the top floor all to ourselves. Goodness. I guess I just needed to share and freak out! Thanks for listening. If anyone has any experience with snakes let me know if I should do anything to prevent more or anything. I know literally nothing about snakes. ![]()

| ![]() There is a BIG speckled King snake that stays around my yard. The darn thing will hiss if I get too close to it-----scares the heck out of me. I killed a BIG black snake in the front yard this morning---don't know what kind. |

| ![]() I would have freaked out! I freak out over crickets in the house! I don't know if they would work, but I have the sonic plug ins to keep things like mice out. We had a family of field mice in the garage and bonus room (they ran up the rafters from garage) last year, yuk! ![]()

| ![]() Garter snakes won't hurt lexie, their bites dont hurt, if they even bite. Lexie would have been just fine, probably curious and she probably would have ended up killing the snake herself playing with it. LOL Snakes don't bother me at all, but spiders on the other hand... watch me run like lightening! haha

| ![]() Thanks for all the support and advice everyone and I'm having hubby check at lunch for any nests of any kind. The only think I can think of is it came in off a tree onto the balcony and through the door there. It has a teeny tiny crack that hasn't been fixed by the landlord. Grr... ![]() ![]()
