| Selling Pet Supplies I want to start selling pet supplies. Maybe start up my own online business. Does anybody know how to get started with it all? I know I need a reseller's permit, but do I need anything else? Also, I need a company name. I want something really cute. Does any one have any suggestions? I was thinking of having a name with the word "paws" in it. Thanks!! |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I don't know about the laws/licenses for your specific area but know you have to have a Fed tax ID number in order for most vendors to sell to you wholesale. Good luck on your venture.....I know there is a lot of competition with on-line pet supplies and clothing.

| You need a federal tax ID and a state resale/retail ID as well (for paying sales taxes and for buying wholesale). It is best to get incorporated, get insurance, all that stuff. You have to buy an available domain name and get a website/server with a shopping cart system. Oh you also need a merchant account (to accept credit cards). It's pretty expensive to get set up the right way. GOOD LUCK!

I'm not familiar with the e-commerce product but there are a lot of shopping cart options out there.
