You sweet thing! Do you realize what you did?

You provided comfort for the dying and ensured that this majestic creature (that's a great way to describe her, I'm sure) did not die alone. You tried to make her comfortable and I'm sure your empathy helped her.

We've had many, many creatures -- both wild and domestic -- show up at our door or that we've happened upon and that was all we could offer them was comfort.

God bless you for trying to help her.

When the truck driver stopped the first thing he said wa mmmmmm fresh meat!.

Ok I take back what I said about the truck driver possibly being unable to afford food for his family. What an a$$hole!!!

Lou - to that single deer you WERE a hero and an Angel. I am so so sorry for the poor deer that laid in the road, for goodness only how long before you came along, and for you for enduring this heart-wrenching story in real life slow motion. I am bawling my eyes out as I type, I hope I don't ruin my keyboard.
