Cindy, I am so glad that you got to see our beautiful bird houses before they blew away....but I did get to meet the people with the big arena today. You would love talking with them.

I hope Twalla and Pam are ok. I haven't heard from either of them. Karen is ok.

I'm glad everyone was safe last night, but now its heading here. It's so freaking hot here! The sky just went black, no thunder, no rain, and no lighting, just wind.

I've got everything ready in our safe room (hoping that we don't have to use it). It's just me & Little Man here (hubby's at work) and I am terrified of these kind of storms!!!!

I'll let ya'll know how we made it thru after it leaves us which will be sometime well after midnight. Which means no sleep for me tonight!

Those that are getting the same storm tonight too be careful and stay safe everyone! Logging off now it just started thundering...see ya when its over!

Be safe and try to stay calm. A clear head leads to quicker action and sharper focus. We were really in the heart of the storm here and everyone is okay, so keep that thought with you as well. Sending everyone a hug!

We got a break so I thought I would check in. Round 1 is over! No tornado's here just alot of wind, rain, thunder, and lighting.

Round 2 is coming, but its not suppose to be as bad as the first round. I hope everyone is staying safe that is getting the first round. Sending out HUGS to ya'll!

I didnt have internet all day so Im just now gettign on the computer! (Ive been havign serious withdrawals! lol)It honestly looks like a tornado blew through my neighborhood and I sort of think one did although it has not been confirmed. If it was it was just a small one. There was a tree or part of a tree torn down in just about every house on my block. My next door neighbors had a tree fall on there roof, across the street 2 huge trees fell over and onto cars, blocked driveways and part of the street. That was the worst of the damage that I could visibly see from my front yard. Mostly it was fallen fences and trees fallen over in just about every yards so luckily not much property or automobile damage. We got lucky, only part of our fence fell and tons of branches and we probobly have some roof damge from the winds. We had clean up crews on my street all day cutting up branches and trees. My street looks naked now with all the missing trees!
When I woke up last night I went and looked outside and Ive never seen anything like it, it looked like a hurricane and the winds were so strong trees were blowing over on thier sides comepletey. My house sits up on a hill and the wind was blowing so hard that water was coming up through my front door somehow and flooding my entry way! It was crazy! Tess slept through it for the most part. She woke up for the really loud lightenings but I managed to get her to fall back to sleep. The dogs were scared though, I had to hold Chloe while she was shaking and Tink snuggled in with me too. I originally woke up with the storm becasue I heard penny wimpering. She normally sleeps on the couch but when it storms she gets scared and sleeps with us.
I took a picture of one of the fallen trees and when I upload it I will post it.

The storms have moved on! I don't think I got any damage. I haven't looked at the back yard yet, will look at that in the morning when its daylight.

I do have a few branches on the ground from both of my bradford pear trees, but nothing serious. Hope everyone else is safe and don't have any damage.

Those winds were horrible! Little Man went crazy during the second storm. He barked at the thunder and growled at the lighting. Then he whined while he was running back and forth from the front door to the couch where I was. At first I thought ok maybe its time to go hide in our safe place, but the sirens weren't going off and weather guy was on t.v. and he wasn't saying anything about any tornadoes. I did finally get Little Man get up in my lap and got him calmed down. He's asleep right now and snoring loudly! LOL!
