A lot of times I have seen this caused by spider bites. Could a spider have bitten you?

YT Addict | ::quick update:: so my mom got the run around yesterday with the insurance company but did have better luck today =] they said that i just have to have been in school between August and May and im covered. so technically right now i am covered, because i was in school for fall classes. but since the paperwork has gotten all screwed up, we have to get the paperwork again. But the lady at the sheriff's department wont be back in the office till tomorrow, and shes the one who has to contact the insurance ppl to get everything going again and then from there it could take 5-7 days! so yea but i did make an appointment with my doctor because i need to get some anti-biotics in my system before it gets worse. now it looks like a marble has been shoved under my skin and the weight is pulling it down!! very nasty and painful. however, my appointment isnt until tuesday, but the nurse said that if something happens and the spot busts or starts draining to go to the ER because since im soo susceptible to getting staff and mrsa i have to make sure it doesnt get further infected. so more than likely my doctor is going to lance it on tuesday, and im really nervous because i HATE pain and im such a wimp too. =/ |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Good luck on Tuesday. I had something similar when I was in college. It was an ingrown hair follicle and I ended up popping it. It was painful as hell for a long time thereafter. You should get to the doctor. That's what I should have done. |

YT Addict | went to the doctor's today she said its a cyst with cellulitis. gave me some anti-biotics and pain killers. she did offer to culture it but said that there was only a tiny spot that actually had pus in it and that the rest was the cyst and infection, crazy i know! lol i told her not to worry about draining it since the center part isnt even whats bothering me, so im gonna do this round of biotics and if for some reason it gets worse or doesnt go away then we'll just go from there but i want to thank yall for all of the thoughts, comments, hugs and prayers! it was so nice of u guys and it helped pass the time =] |
