| Spring planting My son and I have been so busy in the yard lately. I had a small goldfish pond put in a little over a year ago, and have been trying to landscape around it a little at a time ever since. I knew it was going to start raining last night, so when I got home from work my son and I finished planting around it. We put in hostas, cannas, begonias, ferns, gerbera daisies, snap dragons, clemantis ( at the foot of 2 small trellises in front of a willow screen), and caladiums. Some of the stuff was bulbs and tubers, and the rain will hopefully start them off right. I can't wait till it all takes off and starts growing! Once it all starts coming up, I'll post a pic of before and after!

| Oh that sounds like its gonna be gorgeous when it blooms. I have a garden pond in my backyard too. We havent done any plantings around it yet because its not done. We are adding a stream to it. Hopefully I will get to plant around it this year. I have hostas and clematis also. I love gardening. It is stress releaving to me

| I'm sure that looks really nice now. When everything blooms it will be beautiful. My son loves to plant flowers also. He's the one that actually makes our house and yard look so nice with all the plantings. But now he lives in L.Vegas. I'm hoping when he comes home in May for my daugher's graduation (his sister) he will want to plant flowers for me again. Can't wait to see the pics when everything starts growing.

The local Wal Mart has a beautiful raised one on display in the garden center and it only holds about 50 gallons. It has beautiful plants around it. Go for it! I've really enjoyed mine. It's so relaxing just to walk around it in the evenings when I get home from work.
