| questions regarding the stimulus rebate hello everyone! don't know if this is the right place for my question but I was wondering if someone can answer a couple of questions regarding the stimulus rebate. I have heard about it for many years I've heard of people that have received them throughout the years. today while talking to a neighbor she stated that the rebate will come in handy I responded by saying I wish we would get one that's when she said I should of been getting them all along. my question is dose everyone get them? my husband and I make under 60,000 have six kids file taxes every year and have never received a rebate. is there a special form to fill out that I don't know about? our taxes are filled out by a tax firm but no one ever mentioned anything about a stimulus rebate to us. thanks |

| Yeah, she is confused. This is like the 2nd time ever - that I know of - that we are getting this rebate. Nothing special to fill out, but you are required to file your taxes by april 15th this year.

yes that's what im talking about. when I said throughout the years I meant I been hearing it from deferent people through out the years. I checked out the site to see if I qualify and we do, we did last time too but never received it. I was just wondering why? my friend makes almost 75,000 has 2 kids and she and her husband received it last time. im just confused why we never got one, and wondering if we will get one this year? also wondering if I was sent one last time and it got stolen, a story of this was just on the news the other day warning people of this. I wonder if there is a way to check. | |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Your friend is probably getting an earned income credit. It's a credit for people with children making under a certain amount of money. It isn't considered a rebate. You can find more information here - http://www.irs.gov/individuals/artic...=96406,00.html

| I got a letter, too. Just a generic thing sent out. I think it is done at different times. You should ask the firm that does your taxes.

As long as you filed taxes last year and qualify, you should get one. I believe even people that didn't own taxes last year but filed will get something. Do you file your own taxes or have someone else do them? I also agree that you could confirm with them and perhaps they can answer if it will be by check or direct deposit (depends on if you paid electronically or got your refund by direct deposit versus checks). I hope it's direct deposit so there won't be any question of the check getting stolen. That's horrible if you didn't get the last one. So make sure you get this one!! Good Luck!
