im just confused why we never got one, and wondering if we will get one this year? also wondering if I was sent one last time and it got stolen, a story of this was just on the news the other day warning people of this.

I'm 47 and I only remember this being the second time for a stimulus rebate. I agree that some people might be referring to something else. I did recently get a letter stating that I'd be getting a rebate soon. The letters are probably going out in stages just like the checks, so everyone may not get their letter at the same time.
As long as you filed taxes last year and qualify, you should get one. I believe even people that didn't own taxes last year but filed will get something. Do you file your own taxes or have someone else do them? I also agree that you could confirm with them and perhaps they can answer if it will be by check or direct deposit (depends on if you paid electronically or got your refund by direct deposit versus checks). I hope it's direct deposit so there won't be any question of the check getting stolen. That's horrible if you didn't get the last one. So make sure you get this one!!
