| My sister had one a few years ago, but had to rehome it. I don't remember how much she paid for it, but I think it was about $2000. It got a lot bigger than she thought it would and it was very hyper. Other than that, I never even saw the dog she had and wasn't interested enough to research them.

| Donating YT 30K Club Member | I went to the Pet Expo and their was the Mi-Ki club their and they had about 10 Mi Ki's with them. They were very sweet dogs but all had cottony coats and were different sizes and colors. They said the pet males go for 1500 and show females are about 3000. I have attached some pics I took.

| I am in love with the ones that look like lop eared papillons but the standard is awfully forgiving. One of the links I clicked from this thread said the standard includes any color, any markings or solid colors, lop eared or erect, long haired or short and smooth coat and coarse. Even the long hair was allowed to be groomed 2 different ways for show. I think they need to make just a few decisions on what the standard is. Some of them are just adorable though.

| some of them are cute...but like I said, not at all consistent. The tear staining on most of those dogs in the pics is aweful...I can't stand tear staining...and on show dogs?

| Thanks for the pictures, Patti! They do seem to have alot of tear staining..that's why I don't have a maltese. Their laid-back personality is what makes them such good therapy dogs. Did you notice excessive barking? I just think they are SO cute!

I don't have a problem with new breeds being developed if they are done the right way with a goal in mind. Like I said, I don't know what the goal is with the Mi-Kis. Maybe they are really trying to get a consistent look...maybe they are still trying to figure out exactly what they want the perfect Mi-Ki to look like..so maybe once the figure that out, they'll make a more specific standard. I don't know... will be interesting to see
