does Fox put their shows up online like the other networks?? I didn't think they did.

I think the outcome was fair....can't argue with that vote margin now can we???

My comments are not so much about the winners as the poor quality of the hype show leading up to it. Now if I'm not mistaken, the writers strike IS over isn't it.......the collateral mess was so corny I went to my computer in between musical numbers..... and let's talk about corny...those musical numbers....the "all girl" one, right before Donna Summer came out...why were they mostly "hooker" songs???? I found it demeaning quite frankly..... and what's her name, the one with the two colors hair and the Janis Joplin voice, as well as Carly....they were looking like.....Oh God is this the mess I have to sing on the tour???? Yep, that's the mess that will be on the tour. I hate those tacky little Disney style production numbers they have them doing, it's an insult to some of the talents on stage.

Can you tell I am venting???? Too much coffee this morning :D

..and that Gladys Knight number sheeeeeeeeeeshhhhhhhhh and the guru thing shessssssssssssssssh....it was the tackiest final show I have ever seen.



On the positive side.....the duet in the beginning between the two Davids:thumbup:

And DAvid C's singing of the winning song (which I loved that song by the way):thumbup:

Oh yes, LOVED Paula's red dress and her hair... and my girl Syesha shined like a star last night.:thumbup:

Ha ha. Nice vent. Yeah, they've been over the top on the hype this year. I thought they carried the boxing thing too far the day before. Cute for an opening, but they kept repeating and repeating.

I will say I was shocked and delighted that DC won. He has really matured on the show as a performer.

Good Morning, what an exciting night we had last night. I don't think you can see the entire show on Fox like ABC but they should do something for those that missed it, it was thee greatest show ever.

Just a bit of a run down that I can remember for those that didn't see
Syesha sang with Seal and then again with Donna Sommers, it was great.
Also Donna Sommers singing "Let's Dance" with the group dancing and singing.
It was so good to see Michael Johns and Carley and they did a duet together that was something to write home about.....delightful.
Can't forget the humor they threw in with "Midnight Train to Georgia" and the hoop la of "I Am Your Brother"
There was tons more that may come to me later but they really out did themselves and made it something to remember instead of the boring show it had been in the past. I can honestly say DC is my favorite winner of all idols. News Flash Three Months Til Auditions:D

I was disappointed that David A. did not win but I really think it was for the best. He was such a gracious looser. When they announced David C. as the winner, David A. just gave a big smile and seem sincerely happy for David C. I pray they both have successful careers. David C. really does have a great voice but I am not a rock fan, I will probably never buy his CD but I would definitely buy a David A. CD.

I thought Amanda looked like she was high. She was most def on something I thought. Never liked her anyways. I thought last nights winner was the right choice. Altho...I do think David A will have a stellar career as well. David C was just more mature and IMO ready to handle all the stress that comes with being a "STAR". Davis A will def have his day in the future.
I was shocked that Simon actually apologised to David C. That was rare!
I didnt watch the first hour as I watched the Tudors. I missed it on Sunday so I had to catch up.

Anyway....WAY TO GO DAVID COOK! :bravo::cheer:

I'm just about out the door when I found this.

I was disappointed that David A did not win, but in many ways, there are no losers! I think most of the two hours leading up to the big announcement was boring. I think they had greater quality from celebrity performers during the season than they did last night. I think it might have been fun to have had the celebrity mentors from the season contribute to last night's performance. I think Dolly Parton and Neil Diamond would have brought some class to the show, certainly would have been better than that "love guru". Anyway, I'm looking forward to next season!

Thanks for sharing it, as I didn't get to watch it last night. David C. was so excited, he was actually crying. WOW, it must have been great watching it. I stopped watching it when they took off Michael Johns. I think I just lost interest in it all. But I am glad to see the ending now, and how it all turned out. :thumbup: :thumbup:

I think Amanda would rather have been ANYWHERE than there.. it was painful to watch.. I can't imagine her on the tour..is she? If so they should let her bow out..she's not the singin' dancin' type..not like that.

Three months until auditions? I thought they said new show starts in January.

No Amanda will not be on tour, thank goodness, it's only the top 10, last night they had the top 12 performing.

Yes you are right, new season begins airing in January, that will be all the audition tapes that have been edited. Audtions are actually held in the fall. It doesn't become live till after Hollywood week.

We are sooooooo EXCITED :yay_jump: to see him win...it is nice to break the mold...yes, David A. is a great singer, but I think we were ready for some "rock" to come from Idol.....we've had a lot of young "crooners" it seems. But, either way, both of them will make "the big time"....they are both great and will go far!
