| If I wasn't put on hormone therapy back in 1986, I swear I think I would have actually KILLED someone! It was the most horrible feeling in my life. I blew up at the smallest things. I'd sit on my bed at night and cry over how bad I was to my kids, husband and anyone else that crossed my path that day. I would ask God to please help me be a better person and not to get angry at my boys. The next day I would be trying like the devil to be nice, but boy the rage would explode before I even know what happen. I was finally ask by a good friend to go have a blood test done to see if I was low in hormones. LOW.........HAHA........I had NONE!!! About a week of being on Premarin, (now I'm on prempro, lowest dosage) I started feeling human. I can't believe how it made me feel like a new person, and NO temper AT ALL. It was then that I realized age makes no difference at all. I must have needed hormones for years. You can be low in hormones at ANY age. My life (and probably someone else's life was saved) http://www.premarin.com/ |

| I'm with you. Sometimes I think I am losing my mind. The forgetfulness, the mood swings. Poor babies take the wrath most of the time!

| I'm in this club too... I'm 47 so I am hoping I will be done some time soon! I hear it can hang on for a longtime! I have never had hot flashes but I have had night sweats... The weird thing is My husband can get night sweats also!!! I don't take meds and I feel like I am getting through this ok... I suppose it could always be worse right??? I try to walk, and that helps with stress and weight.

| Sad part about menapause, you never quit. I never had hot flashes or night sweats, just very, very quick to anger and was totally miserable all the time and would cry at the drop of a hat. Men can be low in hormones too, but they usually won't talk about that because to them it's a middle age problem, which is really isn't. My best friend went on HT at age 30. |

| As a person who loves almost all animals and am opposed to animal cruelty I felt all of you should know about Premarin and what it is and how many horses/fouls die every year because of this therapy. Premarin is from pregnant mare's urine and they are kept in stalls for 6 months with bags on them to collect the urine. The fouls from the pregnant mare's are considered by-product and most are sent to the slaughter house after they are born. There are other replacements that can be used instead of this product so PLEASE talk to your doctor about alternative methods. http://www.avma.org/onlnews/javma/apr02/s041502d.asp http://www.premarin.org http://www.loveofhorses.org/fortheloveofhorses_003.htm http://www.equineadvocates.com/premarin.html

| I've been on HRT for 22 years, have never felt better and have never had any medical problems at all. I get my total physical each year and am in great health. If Premarin causes these problems, then I would have something wrong by now, right? I will say this.......if I had the choice to go back to being the most miserable person on earth again and live longer, or stay on hormones and live half the time, I'd take the hormone pills. I would rather have a very good quality of life and be happy. |
