| Hot flashes! Ugh! I am dying right now! I have one of those chest type freezers and I swear if I wasn't so afraid the lid would close and I'd get trapped, I'd climb IN that thing! I can only stand bent over with my head down for it so long before the blood rushes to my head and I get dizzy and have to stand right side up again.

| LOL! That's what I have to do though. The freezer on the fridge isn't cold enough. I didn't even think about the visual I was creating when I typed that. LOL Sorry everyone!

| LOL, this is a bad time of year to get hot flashes and it only gets worse. Imagine getting hot flashes when it's 100 outside this summer.

| I remember those well! Hell on earth I think I called it. My heart goes out to you. I was at a party years ago when one of the women got a hot flash. She took her shoes off and went out side for a walk in the snow! I was hysterical then it was my turn and I fully understood where she was coming from. |

| I'm seriously considering it. I had my hysterectomy June 15, 2006 and I've been trying really hard not to have to do the HRT, but I'm beginning to think it might be a good idea after all.

| I began my change in 2001 when I had surgery for OVCA and I swear I am still going through hot flashes. They aren't as frequent, but darn they always happen at the most inopportune times. LOL |

| Oh, I can really sympathize!!! My husband is always cold and of course I am always hot. It is always a struggle. Can't wait 'til these are gone. Think of them as "power surges"! LOL

| Been there, still there. lol. I can't take HRT due to having had breast cancer, but I'm on a homeopathic one. Works quite well, does give some relief. People always want to know why I'm never cold Sheilagh

| I have them too and they SUCK The only thing that seems to work for me is to take some ice cubes, put them in a baggie and put that on the back of my neck Better than sticking your head in the freezer

| When I used to work in the school cafeteria, I was always more than ready to go in the freezer for something, and there were days I wish I would have gotten locked in.. I had some stuff I was using (can't remember the name of it), and it worked really good, but, then I quit taking it, and when I started up again with it, it wouldn't work...I just turned 51 in Dec. and I'm finally getting better, but, at night, I'm freezing when I get in bed, then I start burning up(only sleep with undies on, as I can't stand having anything on me), and I turn the ceiling fan on, and by morning, I have taken all the covers from my poor hubby..Isn't life grand??? NOT! |
