| At what age do boys start going through that hormonal/puberty stage? My oldest daughter hit it around age 12, but I thought boys hit it later than girls? I'm just asking because my son is 11 and if he was a girl I'd be praying for him to start his period YESTERDAY! Can you say drama drama drama? Last night he had a complete meltdown because he wasn't sure which problem set he was supposed to do for his math homework. I mean a 100% absolute end of the world tear shedding meltdown. Then this morning, I accidently ironed his "cool" jeans and omg you would have thought I'd ruined them forever. I had to let him put them in the dryer with a shoe and a damp cloth to remove the iron crease. I mean it honestly doesn't take much to send him rushing to his room, throwing himself on his bed with all the tears/yelling/drama. I feel like my sweet darling baby boy has been kidnapped by aliens and replaced with some insane monster.

| Oh my gosh how I relate... Tyler is 14 now and I remember the 6th grade it hit him.. Not sure what age that is but it was 6th grade... The emotions were flying... He is a honor student by far and very quiet and mild mannered and so sweet and loving and to see him upset over the littlest of things had me so worried.. I too felt like someone kidnapped my baby boy.... Now he is going through the I have found myself phase and I am not sure which one I like more..... To this day age 14 he has never back talked me but he will stand his ground on things such as...clothes what he wants and does not want.... Im getting really nervous Tyler is getting into the girls.. Calgon please take me away!

| Yep, Michel will be in 6th grade next year. He is doing the same thing, he doesn't really backtalk us, but he stands his ground on things and the smallest things upset him to no end. *sigh* I wish someone had told me it was going to be this hard BEFORE I had I kids.

YT 2000 Club Member | My 14 and 13 year olds seemed to go start puberty at age 12. They were in the 6th grade. My 11 1/2 year old just started to get moody, at first I thought he needed his ADHD meds looked into because he never gives us problems with being moody, he's just our hyper on with the attention span of a fley child. When we went for his checkup his doctor told us that he would most likely hit a growth spurt soon too. My son got all happy and asked if he would be taller then his mom and his doctor thought is was funny, I am a shorty at 4 feet 11 inches, Lincoln can't wait to be taller then me. He is #3 out of the 4 boy's and his younger brother is taller then him!
