| Kass hates the snow so no need to worry about shoveling for her. We open the front door and she squats on my porch making sure she has one foot inside the door, the joke here is we have a yellow welcome mat.

| Why don't you just go hop on a plane and come on down to Texas. The daffodils and iris are blooming and the bradford pear trees are blooming. I have plenty and of room and the puppies can play in the back yard.

I figure when my youngest kids are in college (10 more years) I'll be packing up for TX. Of course, I'll have to keep a place in Maine, I think, as I love Maine in the summer. | |

| I would love to visit Maine. A couple of years ago we made a trip to Vermont with my goal to visit Maine but we ended up on Cape Cod instead.

| As an oil painter, my heart is always left in Maine after a trip. Besides a family lake house on Long Lake, I have made a few plein air painting trips in Maine that were like going to Hawaii for me. A place many do not venture is the furthest East point of the U.S. What a beautiful area. It's one of the prime "untouched" areas of our country. The coastline is bold with cliffs, such a sight. I painted Lubec, Tide Mill Farm and Cantabella Island (Canada). It's out-of-the-way, but so worth the trip. For a week I drove around looking for my "spot" to paint listening to Luciano - what an experience. Another beautiful spot for me was Monhigan Island. I went there for a long weekend with another painting friend to find the same untouched beauty. It's so rare to find places like this that have been uncommercialized. Food for an artist's soul. This summer I'll have to bring my new baby...Trixie. On a leash of course! |

| It's 70 degrees outside now, but the wind is howling and blows my furbabies over when they squat. Severe storms are threatened for this P.M. My dh said that he heard on the radio that all this snow is blamed on global warming. What?
