My radio show this morning told this story and they told it with a tongue in cheek attitude. I had to turn the radio off I was so furious. When I got to work I called the station and sent them the most blasting e-mail I have ever sent in my life for the tone in which they told such a horrible story! I'm still fuming

i'm sorry but if my dog had a python starting to wrap around it.. i would sure as HELL kill the snake.. in a heartbeat.. i don't know how i'd do it.. but i'd do it.. i'd risk my life.. to make sure my baby was safe with me again!!

it's kinda like that episode of good pets gone bad or whatever.. when the lady had a boa or something attacking her pomeranian.. AND SHE GOT A VIDEO CAMERA TO RECORD IT

If you KNEW there was a huge python if your yard for DAYS, why on earth would you allow your small dog outside??!!??!!

I don't blame the snake. He was just doing what nature intended him to do. I do blame the owners of the dog for not protecting him. How many times have people posted on YT that these little dogs are just like children and need to be loved and protected in the same way as children? Well, would you leave your toddler outside with a 16 foot python roaming around your yard?

I just dont understand this if the family knew it was outside why would they keep letting there dog go out side ,i feel for the children watching this snake kill and swallow there dog,i would have found a way to protect my furbaby,

Well first off.... I have another thing to add to my list of things to be grateful for.... I'm grateful I don't live in an area where they have 14 foot snakes that can swallow dogs whole!!!! I'm assuming these people were used to seeing large snakes around and maybe they didn't realize at the time that it was stalking their dog. It sounds like they tried to help. I'm not sure what I would do if faced with that situation.... I would like to thing I'd get a gun or ax but honestly, I don't own either. Again, boy I sure am grateful they don't have snakes that big around here!!! But really, if the snake could eat a small dog, why not a baby? So why didn't they kill the snake? Won't it want to go after the same type of prey again?

That is a horrible story And the dog is bad enough but I also think of the kids. A snake that size could have seriously harmed or killed a 5 or 7 year old kid!

This goes to show that ppl ARE IDIOTS... Why do they allow the dog outside and not call the right ppl to come get the snake. The minute I saw the snake in my dog's bed I would have immediately called.. I would have left my house until the snake was gone.. ESPECIALLY A PYTHON...IDIOTS... IT COULD HAVE GOTTEN THE KIDS IF THEY WERE SMALL ENOUGH...
