Well first off.... I have another thing to add to my list of things to be grateful for.... I'm grateful I don't live in an area where they have 14 foot snakes that can swallow dogs whole!!!!
I'm assuming these people were used to seeing large snakes around and maybe they didn't realize at the time that it was stalking their dog. It sounds like they tried to help. I'm not sure what I would do if faced with that situation.... I would like to thing I'd get a gun or ax but honestly, I don't own either. Again, boy I sure am grateful they don't have snakes that big around here!!!
But really, if the snake could eat a small dog, why not a baby? So why didn't they kill the snake? Won't it want to go after the same type of prey again?
