I keep passing out!
 
I am kinda freaking out here. I am 12 weeks pregnant, and I keep passing out in the shower. And other times, I can simply be standing up, and I get really weak, dizzy, my heart starts pounding, and I have to lay down. I only seem to actually black out or pass out in the shower...even tho I make sure the water is not hot.

I talked to my dr. about this yesterday during my visit...he told me that if it keeps happening, I need to see a cardiologist. Well, it happened again this morning. I called my dr. again, he said I need to see someone. So they are making me an appointment. I am really freaking out right now. I think what he said was that it sounds like it could be due to a weakened heart valve or something like that.

I should know in a few minutes when my appointment will be. I will definitely let you know what I find out. I could sure use some prayers!!!!

Oh honey.....I am so scared for you. Did you eat? Could it have been maybe a bit of low blood sugar? What do you remember feeling before it happened? Keep us posted.

yeah, i make sure i eat first thing when i wake up. so i don't think it is that. i just remember feeling really dizzy. I braced my self on the wall because I knew what was coming. then I sat down on the shower floor. that's when I blacked out.

We will be thinking of you today and hoping for a good report. Your are right in getting in to see about this.... it is not quite right. I hope it is nothing major and can be taken care of without risk to you or your baby.

Pregnancy can wreak havoc on the body. Just be careful.

My girfrlend who is now 5 months pregnant had a bad scare Her left side of her body got numb and there was a sag to her face. She had to be hospitalized. Then she went back to normal. They thought she had a brain bleed. After having the baby she will be seeing a nurologist.

I know your worried but try not to be. I know that fainting is normal in pregnancies but you should check it out to be on the safe side. I found this link that might be helpful.

My sister passed out all over the place, stores, home, school, When she went to the doctor she had toxcimeia (sp?) and had to spend 3 months in bed.

do you have a family history of heart problems? i do and when i was pregnant i did have problems i have mitro valve prolapse and with each preg it got worse. but it really doesnt bother me much when i'm not preggers. be careful! and keep us posted!

Good luck at the doc's. I hope they give you an appointment ASAP so you

hmmm...i'll have to look into that. i'm not sure what is going on...but I am anxious to get to the cardiologist and find something out

my appointment for a consultation with the cardiologist is on Friday at 9:30am. I'll keep you all posted :)

Sending prayers and hope that all is back to normal soon..Personally I have never heard of anyone fainting like that while prego... and I am old..

Hope they get to the bottom of this, praying all is well. That happend to me when i was pregnant with my first born, but it only happend a couple of times , then it stopped !

Don't panic yet. Wait and see what the doctor says.

I had blood pressure issues while pregnant both times and passed out.

It's good that you're getting an immediate appointment with the cardiologist. I'm joining everyone else on YT in praying for you and wishing you and the little one all the best.

Oh no that is so scarey! Thank God you can tell it's coming and can sit down in time. Maybe you should take baths- falling in the shower is a really scarey thought. Prayers and hugs coming your way!

Prayers and well wishes on their way from all of us. I know it won't be easy, since preg. can mess us up in all kinds of ways, but try to stay calm and relaxed. If not for you, then for the baby. Hopefully, it will be something simple that can be taken care of easily. Hang in there, we are all here for you.

i have vasso depressor syncope, when i get stressed or stand in one spot too long my blood pressure goes down to 58/44 and i pass out.
Also if you are anemic you can run into this type of problem, I had severe anemia and it made it worse. i have a leaky heart valve too.
So have your blood work checked out too.

Mandee, I hope and pray everything is ok. In the meantime, don't take any showers, take a bath!! Let us know what the specialist says. Good luck!
