Luvs Lulu Donating Member | The Path really is a good vehicle. Hubby drive a big truck for a living and was a bit concerned that the Path being a bigger SUV would drive and have the response of a more truck like vehicle than a car. Well when he drove it he loved it because it handles smooth like a car. I love love the thing. It has the third row seating, back up camera and all the other goodies.

| I don't know if this will help but My family has only owned japanese cars. My In-Laws have only owned American made cars. All of my families cars have lasted 10+ yrs w/little help from mechanics, my in laws on the other hand - get maybe 8 yrs but have had ALL of their vehicles in the shop several times and for very expensive things! (new engines, transmission problems) not just your basic oil change! Bottom line though, you have to be happy w/your decision!

| I have had both. We purchased a Pathfinder the 2nd year Nissan had them out (back in 1987). We loved that vehicle!! Had it for 12 years before hubby traded it for his truck. The only thing we ever fixed on it was the timing belt after 80,000 miles and had the clutch replaced in it twice. It got to the point that it seemed we were fixing something on it more frequently and hubby wanted a truck so we traded. I have also had a Tahoe (on my second one), a suburban, and an Equinox - all by Chevy. We travel (or rather we did) a LOT with our youngest son for baseball to various tournaments in different states so we racked up the miles. We traded first Tahoe for more room in the Suburban. Then, stupid me thought we'd save some gas money so downsized to the Equinox - BIG mistake! I loved it but I sacrificed a whole lot of room for no difference in gas mileage so I went back to a Tahoe last year. The only problem I ever had with any of these Chevys was a computer chip went out in my Suburban a few years ago and I had to put it in to have it replaced. I think you'll be happy with either one - just go with your heart and what is most comfortable for you and your family.

| My favorite car we have ever had was a Tahoe. We outgrew it..with all the grandkids and retired hubby....but would get another one in a minute. Good luck on whatever you decide.

| I've had a Pathfinder since 1998 and it is still going. We've done nothing major to it, with the exception of exhaust system. Best vehicle we've ever owned, and I believe we are pushing 150,000 miles. Man with the prices of vehicles today, I'm not looking forward to having to buy a new one, but I'm sure I'll have to eventually.

| Of all the vehicles we have owned(just about every brand at some point in time), we bought a used Nissan Maxima - loved it and traded it for a Nissan Murano in '04. Wouldn't trade it for anything. We never had to fix anything on the Maxima nor the Murano. Just replaced the belts on the Murano, but that's it. I am sold on Nissans. Always had problems with American made cars, tho.

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | Loved the Nissan Pathfinder so much that I traded my Toyota Corolla S class in and got a new Nissan Sentra as a v-day gift from hubby. The pricing on Nissan is so good and honestly they run nice.
