| ![]() My first car was an american made car and I had to replace the transmission TWICE! I got a 97 Nissan after that (in 02) and it lasted me until last August when I got a Scion (made by toyota). That might not seem like too long, but I wore that car OUT! I never took care of it and honestly, it should have died a lot sooner than that. I will never go back to an american made car..It will always be Toyotas or Nissans for me! ![]()

| ![]() I love the Chevy Tahoes!!!! Maybe one day when I have a big family. Also, check out both warranties and maybe that will help you decide.

The Sentra is mine for my daily use and the Path is the family car....better to hold all five of us and give me extra seating room for my sisters when we go on trips. I realy needed the Sentra for it's small size because in the mornings I drop the girls off to school and then go take the car to find parking near the train station. I take two trains into the city to work. That Sentra is so pretty. I found all sorts of errands I wanted to run this weekend so I could go driving around..lol.

| ![]() I have an older Yukon (which is the same as a Tahoe) and LOVE IT. Most SUV's especially the GMC/GM ones are SAID to be known for tranmission problems, but I have never had any w/ mine...and it is a '99 (yes, we need to upgrade, but it is still running and driving GREAT and looks great too) and my sister has an 01 Tahoe and has not had any problems w/ hers either. When we do upgrade, we are going w/ another Yukon or Tahoe. We have friends w/ new Yukon/Tahoes and Nissan Armada (sp) and Toyota Sequia (sp)...and the Chevy and Toyota have been the best ones out of all of them. My DH buys cars/trucks for the company he works for and he knows all the sales people really well and when he was researching for a new one for us, they all pulled toward the Chevys/GMC's and the Toyota was a close second. Also, his company has now went w/ all Chevys for their trucks, vans and SUV's and they have been easier to maintenance then the others they have had. I think he said that it was cheaper maintenance/parts/etc on them. They have a company Tahoe that has over 300k miles on it and it is still in great condition...course, once they get to so many miles, they are auctioned off for new ones, but that is great! But, it all comes down to what you like and what deal you can get on either of them. Gas will be high on any SUV..the newer ones seem like they take more to fill up then mine..which is odd since the newers are suppose to be more milage friendly. Anyway, happy car hunting...how fun!!!

| ![]() I got a new Pathfinder last year and I really like it. I liked the Armada too, but since I am usually the only one in the Pathfinder, I figured it was too big for just me. My daughter has her own car (my old Honda Accord) and my husband has his own truck, so its just me usually. It was a small adjustment getting used to the Pathfinder after having the Accord for so long, like the ride was a little rougher than the Accord and the gas milage was more too. My husband is 6'3" and he does not fit in the dirvers seat very comfortable, he just can't stretch his legs out very far, so that is a definite negative for us. I am 5'3" and I like that the pedals move out to fit me so I don't have to move the seat foward making the air bag dangerous. We leased ours as well because we have our own business and you can deduct the total payments made from your taxes on leases. Our payment is only 471.22/month and that was with no money down for a 3 year lease and 15,000 miles a year. ***I just read where your husband is 6'3" also, so you probably need to really do a good test drive with him, maybe even overnight if possible so he can drive it for awhile.
