Question About My Migraines

How awful for you, that is so frequent I can't even imagine how frustrating it is for you. I have had migraines for many years now around 2 a month generally. There have been quite a few months now where I haven't gotten any and I wonder if it has to do with being on anti depressants since that is the only change I have had in the last year. I still get headaches every now and then but not anything unmanageable.

I wonder if a change in diet would help you out, i'm sure there has to be something that triggers yours. I'm so sorry, I wish I had some sort of advice.

My mom went through this and she still uses IMITREX when she feels a headache coming on.

I can remember when I was young, she had to have total silence and darkness for what seemed like days on end.

But she has told me that the headaches are less severe now that she is premenopausal.

A lot of it has to do with your menstrual cycle.

So I guess what I am saying is, if you cannot find something to stop the severity of the headaches, then you have to wait until you are 45+. (NOT a happy thought).
BTW, I do not know how long IMITREX has been on the market, I remember she was using the injections for a while. But after a drug is on the market for 20 years, the patent expires and it can be sold in a genric form. That would be SUMATRIPTAN SUCCINATE. tHAT

Just thinking about the cost of each pill can give you a headache. It definitely was a factor with my mom. She would hesitate to take it in time to avoid the migraine.
