My backhanded positive for the day is that my mom (who is in the hospital) got disoriented, became terrified, and had a panic attack. BUT for whatever reason, God had me call her room at that exact moment, and I found out. I was able to drop everything at work and be there in a few minutes and comfort, console, and relax her. When my mom is "herself", she is one of the most beautiful women/souls on earth. When she's not "herself" I know it hurts her not to be. I'm glad that I could be there for her.

I like this thread, because it forces me to think of something positve for this particular day even during a rough one.

My positive thought is thank goodness I haven't killed my folks yet, because they bought me a 37inch HD TV for my bday. :D

They have been staying with me in my 2 bedroom apartment for the past couple of weeks and will be there a couple more. Which puts me on the hide a bed roller coaster bed. :( There is such thing as too much quality time in such a limited space.

All kidding aside, I'm just thankful that I'm here, that I am blessed with such wonderful parents and although life is a struggle some days for me I get by and can appreciate the things that I do have and know that even though it's hard someone else has an even harder struggle then I and my issues actually aren't as bad as they seem, or I think they are.

I appreciate each of you and the things that you have taught me and the friendships that I have developed. Thank you.

Dianne - I'm glad that you "could be there for her", too. Some people live their whole lives, and never learn that the greatest blessings come from being poured out for others. :hug:

My dad and mom are my favorite valentines. I am always single on Valentines lol but my dad sent me a Bath Set, and I took a lovely bath and read my Cosmo mag and my mother brought chocolate covered strawberries for all of us. I thought today was going to be dreadful but so far it has been the best day and of course Thursdays are my favorite days!;)

My fiance is coming to spend the weekend with me!!! His parents own their own business and are giving/passing it down to him and he has been working his butt off all week so he can take not only the weekend off but also friday and he just got off work about 30 minutes ago and is on his way down right now!!! He will be here in about 4 hours!!! Im soo excited! Today has been a very positive day! :):D

My positive: My awesome boyfriend, who is in Ireland right now, calls me on Skype everyday, we even sleep together on voice, he's there when I need him, and he loves all the pictures of Henry the furbaby! I send him :) says I'm a good mommy hehehe

Aww, how sweet! He is a lucky guy. :) My hubby and I celebrated our 4th Valentine's as a married couple. It's been an amazing four years. :thumbup:

My hubby made cinnamon rolls for me this morning. And Coby was the BEST boy all day today. He's even napping in his kennel right now all on his own. (But then when's that good and actually napping, I start to worry that he might be sick! :eek: )

My positive today is that I woke up this morning to birds chirping... !
We have a basement full of water and tons of damage, a roof that is leaking and a wall that has been damaged because of it, but all I can focus on are those beautiful birds chirping away. How Glorious !!!

My positive for the weekend is/was that the entire family made it home while my mom is still with us. She even got to meet my daughter's boyfriend, which was hugely important to my daughter. Kayce actually "told" God in her prayers that He had to wait for that. ;) Now, as soon as God is ready to take her Home, she, as a mom, had the best weekend of her life. :luvu:

Diane, How wonderful that you can share the positive with us when you are going through such a difficult thing as saying goodbye to your Mom. Hugs to you. Prayers for you and your family too.

My positive is that being on YT has brought me into the company of so many wonderful caring people

Actually, that's why this is probably my favorite thread here (thank you Angie). No matter what has happened, it makes me come up something positive - which isn't really so hard if you have a nudge in thinking of it that way (thank you again Angie).

Way To Go on that job review. And with prices the way they are, no one is really getting what they deserve anymore. But doesn't take away from your KUDOS! ;)

My positive for today is that my school play, Beauty and the Beast is getting ready to open!! Our first show is Wednesday!! I'm having such a good time. I've wanted to be in Beauty and the Beast since I was like 6 years old...so even though its just a high school play, this is like my dream coming true. :D


My other positive is that I found my new dance shoes that had dissapeared. I had to get $40 dance shoes for Beauty and the Beast, and I had them for 2 days and suddenly they dissapeared. It was killing me thinking that someone in the cast had stolen them. Turns out that they weren't stolen, but they were hidden in a black hole in my closet. (Actually they were smushed in a bag under my shoe rack...same difference). But I'm SO excited to have them back and I'm so happy that none of my cast family stole them. :)
