My positives for the day... my youngest is home from college.

Yeah, I miss her! She's growing up so nicely in college!

And...

At the athletic shoe store, she found a pair of $110 exclusive shoes on the clearance rack marked $19.99. Of course there was an issue and they said that they must have been marked wrong. I was so nice to the girl and told her that she really needed to sell those to me since they were marked that way and they couldn't determine why they thought that was wrong, but that I'd personally help her go through the boxes to pull the rest of them before someone else found them. We finally got them for $19.99 with no scene and her ending up apologizing to me. (I am a firm believer in not taking advantage of a situation, but the store marked them and no one knew what the problem was.)

My daughter said, "Don't worry mom, I was taking notes on how you handled that so nicely!"

I'm glad to have been able to home with my family and friends for a little while. Also, I am very grateful that my husband just came back from Korea

and will be home when I get there tomorrow

I am glad to be able to wake up in the morning to doggy kisses on my face, feel the sun on my skin and the wind in my hair. I am glad to be able to breathe easily and that everyone in my family is happy and healthy!

My positive this morning is that the workers are finally done in our basement.
The jack-hammering was about to drive me insane and I was so worried about my fur-friends. I just knew that if it was bothering me so much that it had to be hurting them too. It is all done now and we just need to wait for the concrete to dry to be able to put everything back where it belongs.
No more flooded basement ! What a blessing ......
