| Ok fess up....Does any one ever really read the LOOOONG posts? I tend to write long posts and I am trying to remember that it is easy to lose every ones interest!!! I think I may be ADD or something cause I find myself not wanting to read the really long posts unless I have been following a story! Is this too much honesty? What does every one else think?

| its sad but sometimes yes.. i think it depends on how long i plan to be online.. if it is for the evening i'll read it but if i'm trying to go fast i won't... and it kinda depends on what it's about.. if i think i can help i'll read it.. if it has ANYTHING to do with breeding.. i don't... |

| I am guilty. As soon as i see a long post i either return back to the forum or read the ending and every 1 else posts to see if it was interesting My attention span is very short.

| With me it depends on if the post interests me. Sometimes there is a topic about breeding or selling or something like that and since I don't do that, I'll go elsewhere, but if someone is having a problem and needs help or prayers or is introducing themselves, then I read the long ones.

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | I usually do. I tend to be long-winded, so I try to read long posts to make up for it. If I can only get on for a minute or two, I'll remember the name of it and go back and read it later. But there are times that I don't. Sometimes I'll skim.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | No, I don't read long posts! I try reading the shorter ones first, then if I am interested, I will read the long one!

| I love the long posts. I can think of some long posting examples that were so interesting. I would rather read a long post that tells a story then random remarks.

| For me, the key to writing and reading a long post is to break it up into paragraphs. This not only makes it much easier to read, but also forces the writer to concentrate on organizing their thoughts instead of just typing a string of thoughts as they cross through the mind. At least this is what I try to teach my staff when writing business letters/emails in order to adequately express their thoughts as well as keep their readers' interest. So if I'm way off base, lemme know!!!

| I must admit that I dont really like super long posts. Depending on the topic, anyway... If its a topic of interest, I will read or "speed read" a long post... But if not, I usually dont respond because I haven't read it

I cannot follow the long posts, especially when they tend to write it all in one big bunch. No paragraphs, no breaks. Some smart person once gave a suggestion that people should break their LONG paragraphs into many smaller ones. I agree with that.

In fact, I totally agree. Oh and also, I tend to ignore posts when they are written in all capital letters. Or the ones that for some reason have the first letter of every word in caps but the rest of the word in lower case.
