Jon & Kate Plus 8 :) Does anyone else watch this show on TLC? My daughter (she is 8) is addicted to this show. (I watch it too) She has me DVR it for her every Monday night and as soon as she gets home from School on Tuesday she wants me to put it on for her. I gave that lady 8:thumbup: I don't think that everyone could be cut out to do her job! What do you think of the show?:aimeeyork :) :aimeeyork |

I love that show! I think they do such a good job holding it all together! I can't imagine how hard that is.. The kids are adorable too! I love the little one w/the glasses that they call "the professor" awwwe! |
I watched to marathon they had on recently..and was amazed. I have not seen any of the new episodes but am sure I will catch them eventually...I find the show entertaining...I laugh quite a bit. |
I saw a website that people go on to and talk about the show. I was shocked that they spend most of the time bashing Kate.:eek: You try running a household w/8 children, 6 being the same age. I think they would look at her in a different light. I will say that I think she is a little bossy of her hubby - but he allows it so whatever. It is entertaining though. I like to watch it when I feel like my day was crazy w/my 2 kids and it puts my life right back into perspective!:) |

I like watching it.. I am also glad that unlike most of these reality shows they don't sugar coat things. You see mom being frustrated and it not being all rosey. The kids are so cute. I have no idea what dad does for a living but he sure has to be making some big bucks to support a family of 10. I have to give the woman her Kudos. I have three children and thankfully they are all different ages. I can't see how I would do it with 6 toddlers..god help me. God bless her and if she is bossy it's not her fault. You need to be in charge with such a large clan. As a mom sometimes you can't turn off the mothering since your so used to doing it. |

No, he really does not make much $. I saw an interview w/them on it. He just recently took a new job w/kate's Bestfriend Hubby (if you saw their house you would know that they are doing very well) and he said that he is now making more $ and has more time w/his family. She said that they have to be very careful w/their $ because there really is not that much to go around. But I am that by them being on TLC it has helped a lot. I sure hope they pay them something good considering they are airing their lives to millions of people every week. I would not let people follow me around and see me get upset and frustrated for free! |
Jon is an IT(computer tech), and she is(was) a registered nurse. This show definitely makes me put life into the right perspective... I am bless to have my 2 girls.. LOL the little "professor" is Aiden and he is my favorite too... can you tell I am addicted... haha d |

I love that show...I watch it all the time when I can catch it!! Kate is such an amazing women, she is truly organized and has to be to keep up with 8 kids. I only have four dogs and I think sometimes I am going to lose it...LOL |

Aiden is such a cutie. Love his little glasses. I loved the episode where they split them up among friends becuase they had a speaking engagement. The friend had put a hat on him...and he was just looking so cute with the hat and his glasses. |

Yep, love that show. But I tell ya, that one twin (Maddie, I think) is such a whiney brat! I'm guessing she just doesn't have enough time to deal with her properly when she's acting like that but that would put me over the edge more than the having to take care of 6 three year olds! When it first came out, I thought it was funny/quirky how "organized" everything was but wow, you HAVE to be super organized to deal with all of them! I do think that when she was looking for a housekeeper, her expectations were just a tad too high. It was a little ridiculous the places she was "white gloving" to check the cleaner's work. |
I love watching that show. i always seem to forget when it comes on lately. so i haven't seen it in a while. i think they do a great job of holding it all together. i would be hairless by now with that many kids... kudos for kate!! :) |
LOL! I LOVE Jon & Kate + 8! And I know everybody thinks Maddie is the "bad one" but I love her. Not to down Jon and Kate as parents (because in the same situation I don't know what I would do) but sending 2 6 yr olds to down a basement full of three year olds to 'babysit' is a lot to ask. Some people wouldn't even send their 6 yr olds downstairs to play alone, much less use them as supervision for 6 more kids. So I feel like if Maddie throws a tantrum a couple of times a week, then I figure she's earned it. And besides they can't really say much to her since it is clear that she gets the disposition honestly (from her mom!). |

I love this show, it's my favorite... my girls (11 twins), love it too! I think Kate is awesome! You have to be organized. My favorite part about her is how she says "I'm sure there's a lot of perfect parents, but you won't find any here" It's so--true, she holds that household together... ANY ONE who thinks other wise must NOT have any children (more than 2). It's a very hard job. I would go crazy being a stay at home Mom, I love going to work (to get out of the house). I congratulate all stay at home Moms, you rock! I know she's short with her husband, but one of them has to be the tougher personality to get things done. If they were both the same, they wouldn't have a good team. This is a "REAL" household...no sugar coating anything |
