| How Do I Shut Down A Broker??? Does anyone know how I should go about shutting down a puppy broker? This woman gets dogs weekly!!! Friends and I have turned her in before but she changes her name and phone number and never gets caught I have found her once again and she needs to be stoped!! She sells sick dogs!!! Nobody knows where they are actually coming from, she always has a different story What do I have to do to get the city to shut her down and fine her???? I tell so many people about her hoping it will keep someone from buying a puppy from her but she is selling like crazy!!! Her answering machine even says "If your calling for a dog ill have some on Monday so call early" can you belive that!!!!!!!!!! Any suggestions????? |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | She sounds disgusting, however, unless she is operating outside of the laws or ordinances of your area, there probably isn't much you can do. It is sad!

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Is she possibly be violating some Health Dept. codes? Is she in a residential area? Could be the restrictive convenants (if she is in a housing subdivision or addition) for her area, wouldn't allow her activities? You could check into that possibility.

| I'll check into that. In our city you can only have 1 litter a year if your a breeder and you must get a breeding license first, but since she isn't breeding them they cant do anything to her. I hope I can find a law she is breaking so she will stop. I just don't know why people think this is right, I feel so bad for all those puppies. A lot that I know of don't make it and when they call her she tells them to bring her the body of the sick or dead pups and she will get them another puppy... but there are NO refunds!!!!!!! She doesn't care about these babies |

| Does your city have a law about selling live animals? She has to be in violation of some sort of law if she's selling sick animals - maybe fraud? You'll probably have to find people that bought sick puppies from her to press charges

| I just googled Puppy Lemon Law but the buyers would have to go after this person unless she is getting smuggled puppies from Mexico. I would call animal control and see what they know. http://www.animallaw.info/statutes/s...encode597z.htm http://www.animallaw.info/statutes/s.../stuscaset.htm http://www.dogplay.com/Breeding/lemonlaw.html http://www.amazines.com/Law/article_...rticleid=92543 http://www.cbp.gov/xp/CustomsToday/2...er/puppies.xml
