Im not saying NEVER own... definately DO own... I own my own townhouse. I love it, but living in an apt definately taught me a LOT about how to handle being on my own, before I took on MORE responsibility of OWNING!  |
I agree with you there! I rented for 4 years before we bought and when we bought our house, we had NO idea what we were doing or in for.
Things seem to break all the time, and there's no landlord to call for help

, so it's fix it yourself or pay someone to fix it for you

. Plus it's the wonderful world of property taxes which ups mortgages considerably if you're like me and have it put into the monthly mortgage.
I definitely miss renting at times just based on the convenience of it. I think if most rentals allowed 4 dogs, I never would have purchased my own home-- or it would have been further down the road

.
