| Peeka Boo I See You! Donating Member | I am so sorry you are having a hard time sleeping I know how you feel though, I am a long time sufferer of insomnia I hate it!! there are days i don't go to sleep untill 4 or 5 am and i have to get up at 7 am to take my son to school and then there are times when i just don't sleep at all. My problem is if i have one day that i don't go to sleep i can't sleep the next day or the next day i have gone days with no sleep at all, going 120 hrs(5 days) with no sleep is just insane. I have heard there are lots of pills you can take to help but i just can't take a sleeping pill(don't know why) maybe try some tylenol PM and see if that helps for a few nights and get back into a rhythem. Also your infection, if you are not sleeping it takes a very long time to heal and you are more prone to getting sick because your not sleeping (totally sucks) don't take a nap today no matter how tired you are because it will make it that much harder to go to sleep tonight. Good luck hun and if you need anything i am always here to lol

| graelyn, I have had insomnia on/off for a decade... yes I'm THAT old LOL! someone told me to try melatonin a few months back-it's over the counter at wal-mart if you're interested later I'll go get my bottle & post the info?? I take one every night 9/30-10 o'clock & it has helped so much! It seemed like when I couldn't sleep I turned into a wreck & then the house was next LOL! hope this helps! |
