For those of you with a Privacy Fence, I need help.

Pretty Side out!

We had a vinyl privacy fence installed this past summer and the contractor did a horrible job on it. The poles are slightly turned so the panels zig zag if that makes sense. You can only really see it if you are looking straight down at it, but it makes me so mad, LOL!

Anyhow, I saw you're doing it yourself, but if you decide to hire someone please be careful and check references, I wish we had!

I just saw this! We didn't ask, but our neighbors to the back of us had a vinyl fence already up for a portion of where we were going to put ours. So, we told them that we could put one up also, so there would be two back to back (hope that makes sense), and they mentioned just adding on to theirs, so that's what we did and we saved a lot of money (and gained more yard space ).

I wouldn't feel weird asking though because they might have been wanting one also and this is a great chance to do it for less!

well if you are facing the backyard(your back to our house) the neighbors to my left have their left side up already due to their neighbor(she was there before their house was built)... but we dont talk to them at all so I feel like it would be weird going to knock on their door and asking them if they would like to pay half... dont you think? Geez.... I wish hubby would do it but he doesnt want to...our other neighbor could care less I think... they are hardly outside and are not very social...

We did ours pretty side out in the front, and pretty side in on the sides. We have a retaining wall in the back. But we also put a small 2"Wx4"D concrete bottom for the fence to stand on. This helped with any digging (neighbors dog not ours) under the fence, and keeps the fence from connecting the with the ground (hopefully it will last longer). Oh yeah he also added a dark color to the concrete so that it looked nice.
