| Something wonderful? In view of all the reports of terrible things people seem to do to each other, I thought it would be nice to start a thread about wonderful things people have done. Anybody have a story about something wonderful and special someone has done for you or someone you know? |

My input would be to mention all the wonderful Yorkie people who were so supportive of me when my husband died...... Much of the time following his death is a blur - so I may not have thanked each one of you properly if so.... I apologize ...and thank you all again. There's too many to mention individually but I'll remember it for as long as I live. | |

| I have 2 best friends from HS (friends for 16+ years now), and whenever anything is wrong with any 3 of us, the other 2 always brings them thier favorite Ben & Jerrys ice cream and hangs out with them! I am sooo lucky to have these 2 friends!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Janell (Surfie and Tiki) sent me a very special memorial of my Mom who passed away this year. It truly made a very difficult time of year more bearable. Also, so many Yt'ers have been so supportive over thr years. Most recently with sending me supportive pm's regarding Dixie. I think YT has the most caring people in the world!

YT 2000 Club Member | When I told my mom that my husband gave me the OK to get our Jeter, she went out and got him a bunch of stuff, even a stroller for him, I barely had to buy a thing at all! She still is picking him up a few things when she is out getting things for her 2 yorkie girls. Also My son Lincoln is on a IEP for school. Some things were taken out of it at the beginning of this year when our school got a new director. Apparently when we had switched school districs the year before that, they had forgotten to put in that he was on an IEP for mot just speech but Other Health Impairment, so this new director took out everything but speech help for my son I was having a hard time with him because he was just looking at the currant IEP and not looking at any of his prior ones that listed his other learning Problems, was at my wits end trying to get allhis old stuff back onto his IEP. Lincoln was one of my preemies born at 27 weeks, he has ADHD and he has a few things that slow him down with learning. They even had taken out his ADHD stuff His Social Studies teacher is the one who contacted me and informed me on how to get his Multifactored Evaluation pushed up ASAP, she said that they should not of taken out things at all and she listed all the things that we need to put in for his new IEP that will help him out greatly Next year in junior high. Without her help we would of had to wait till the end of May for them to do his Multifactored Evaluation! She was looking out for my son and worried that he was going to get lost in the shuffle if his IEP was not changed.

| My coworker, volunteers at a homeless shelter that has over 100 kids. along with his two sons and a local school band director, they visit the shelter weekly and teach music to the kids. The kids get to play with the school band when they have parades and shows. And last year about 10 of the kids got to go to New York to play in Carnige Hall! I am sure that was an experience they will never forget. I think this is a wonderful thing they are doing. |

Luv my 7 Furkids Donating Member | puppy love yesterday, I met a woman in Petco, who stopped and talked with us and petted the furkids. The womans mother was teary eyed. She had just lost her yorkie a few months ago after 16 years. I invited her to my house to see the one male not spoken for, she came, fell in love and cried again only this time with happiness. Shes taking him at the end of the month and his name is Buffy after her beloved yorkie. I was so thrilled to help make someone that happy..... |

| EXCELLENT THREAD!!! THANK YOU "Sammiz" for posting!!! Regardless of all the "stuff" by some members that I have endured since my joining YT - on all different topics, it seems....... NONE of that could ever measure in comparison to the AWESOME OUTPOURING OF LOVE AND SUPPORT I have received by soooo many of you in times when it REALLY MAKES A DIFFERENCE!!! I have been so blessed to "know" so many of you... and I treasure every word, prayer, heartfelt well wish, comforting note, selfless deed and "virtual hug" that has been offered to me at so many different times since I've found this faboulous source! Like Villette, please forgive me if I've failed to acknowledge each show of support individually.... the abundance of support can, in and of itself, be so overwhelmiing - though never dismissed!! And again, I thank the WONDERFUL YT'ers who've helped (and continue to help) me through each and every day!! You all are in my thoughts and prayers daily... and I pray that one day I may be able to offer the friendship and support that so many of you have given to me here!!

| My post would have to be to thank my DH. I just recently had surgery ( discectomy) and anyone who has experienced this type of surgery knows that you cannot do much of anything for about six weeks. Hubby has taken care to work from home and also take care of the house, the furbabies and me ! All during this time with a smile and a sense of humor too. He is just the BEST! |

| Nice topic! My DS and DDIL lost a baby two weeks ago. It was a very sad, traumatic event for them, and us. She was about 11 weeks into her pregnancy. After spending a few days with them and seeing that everyone was going to heal ok with time, DH and I came back home to a beautiful bouquet of roses and several cards. We were so surprised! To get something like that, and we're just the grandparents...how sweet! It was some very good friends that had gotten together and done it. Makes one very thankful! Joy

| I would like to thank each of you who responded with such good things to say. You all must be especially blessed or something. Like me. It saddens my heart that there have been so few responses. I know there has to be so many wonderful, caring and thoughtful folks out there that have shown love, kindness and consideration to others. I was really looking forward to many stories about them. |
